IMON support (2 Viewers)

Minidisplay requires iMON software for output to the display (DOS and HID). IRSS needs iMON software only for DOS devices to have the driver in place. For me IR Server only crashes on exit if a client (debug client, MPcontrol plugin, ...) is connected. Can you verify this behavior?
All IRSS logs go to C:\ProgramData\IR Server Suite\logs (or maybe slightly different, have no IRSS on this machine here)
IR Server only works with abstract remote model/map by now, which is basically build around a MCE remote. Once we get iMON pad map working it should be possible to do everything MP's internal plugins offer.
It seems to me, that all the support for other remote maps than abstract remote map was done in input service, but not in IR Server.

I was happy to see that imon with MCE mode is finaly working! I give it another short try and it seems to do fine!
I have some questions about basic functonality:
Do I see right, that I have to do all mapping again with the MP Plugin?
The "Abstract Remote Modell" is the one to do this or do I have to add/change to "Microsoft MCE"?
Example: Change Video Button to Moving pictures. I did this before with shotcutter plugin. With the first try, I didn't found out how to remap to Moving pictures Seems that I have to study the wiki a little bit...
I'm looking for a equivalent solution of the "Application Starter" of original Imon. As far I understand there's actualy "only" Tray Launcher, but with it I can only execute one Program. Or has anybody a solution to start a selection?
Imon hardware supports two remotes. Is it possible to use both at the same time? I use a harmony remote and could map many more functions to dedicated buttons, if this would be possible!

No,you don't have to remap all the buttons,Abstract Remote should work right out of the box with your Harmony configured as MCE remote.
But if you want to remap buttons like MovingPictures instead of Video here's how you can do it --> open MediaPortal Control Plugin --> Remote Controls tab -->click on Map Buttons -->Extra Buttons -->My Videos -->All Layers --> Videos and select "Plugin is enabled" and from the menu select Moving Pictures...click Apply and is done.
You can use Translator to do that...

Nope,is not possible to use both remotes at the same time,you have to manually select ImonPad or MCE in IR Server configuration.
Also one more thing, this is quite important to me.. With "Keyboard Input Plugin" I was able to fancy key assignment like with the "Videos button" I was able to cycle between "Videos, Moving Pictures, Online Viideos, TV Shows"... It was the coolest thing but your MP-Control Plugin there seems to be no way to link to external plugins like Moving Pictures and all that jazz...
I like using IRSS over "Keyboard input plugin". I like things to be in one tight package and KIP had some pretty big bugs with keyboard delay issues..
So loving the HID support none the less. Very good work... Just need to get plugin hyperlinks and I will be very happy..

When I add the IMON I have all it's keys, but when I go to map the keys I'm thrown in to an MCE format... Any idea's... I really don't want to have to go back to Input Keyboard Plugin and IMON manager... This is so close...

Maybe there is also some missunderstandig: I want a Button that switches to Moving Pictures!
As far as I understand your guide, it's for remapping Buttons while Moving Pictures is used within MediPortal.
I also tried a workaround with macro/translator: I set with shortcutter plugin that MovingPictures skin is opend with Key combination CTRL + p . But nor the macro (mapped to video Button) or translator seems to have any effect.
Do you have any Idea what's wrong?
Also I have two Buttons with Harmony, that make these two entries to the log
Can I use (and rename) the Buttons?

.Anyway we are working on the IRSS mapping part to improve it.In the mean time if i find a way to map the pluginns i will let you know We could add those codes to the Abstract remote layout (MCE) but you will still need to do the mapping manually.

What about the workaround with the shortcutter: Do you have an Idea why this don't work?
Especially the macro solution, would make it easy to map (plugin) screens to remote! But there is no action with the remote, with keyboard all is fine!
I couldn't test it with a direct "Key Pressed" Action, because I don't know which codes have to be set into the two fields
