Der_Bub :i've found a solution and u need only Shortcut'er plugin and IRSS,no need to create the macro with Translator,will use MP Control Plugin for that.

1)Configure Shortcut'er plugin for a plugin without using "Shift" and "Ctrl" keys (e.g My Trailers / ò /5900 )

2)Now go to MP Control Plugin --> Macro --> New --> select Keystrokes command --> assign "ò" and save the macro

3)Go to Remote Controls tab --> Map buttons -- >Extra buttons --> My videos -->All layers -->for condition choose "no condition" --> for action choose "IR Blaster/Macro" and select the desired macro (i this case the one from point 2 )

Already tested here and working...just be sure to use buttons that are not assigned for other MP tasks...hope this will help you

Could some one please explain to me why I have to use "Abstract Remote Layer"... It does not have all the buttons my IMON Pad has... I simply want to be able to map an IMON PAD..

Am I making sense... Right now it seems there is no IMON Pad Mapping.xml..

Simply put, I go and add my IMON pad, all buttons show up, I'm able to send codes etc etc.. But when I go to "Map Buttons" I get an MCE style mapping layout... This is useless as it simply does not have half the buttons that my IMON Pad has, and the ones that are simular don't seem to be linked. I go to delete the mapping and try and create one from scratch and I get an error message..

I just want to add that TRANSLATOR and everything else is working fine and MCE functionality is working fine, just can't map IMON

well, did like you description, but there ist no action of IR (Keyboard is fine).

Another Problem is that after closing MP, the IR server donÄt reacts to IR Comands. I have to restart it. Unfortunatly there is no entry in log or reaction of debugger

Hi there,

I am using MediaPortal for quite a while now (coming from XBMC ond Xbox) and one of the things that I haven't really gotten to work as I would like them to is the remote...

I own an Antec Fusion case (with Soundgraphs Imon+Imon Pad) + Logitech 885...and I nearly have given up on this combo. When I set up the system I used the Remote Server Suite that was available at that time, which kind of worked but shut down my display...

At the moment I am trying to get the Imon software to do what I want (together with the latest MiniDisplay debug version) - this gives me a working display but the remote is really flakey. When using the original Imon Pad all is almost well, the mouse knob they use on these remotes is a pain when used as directional keys though. When using the 885 mapped as Imon Pad (or Antec Fusion for that matter) i get alot of double keystrokes (the well known double return when clicking "ok", but other keys as well - subtitle cycles at least 4 languages before coming to a rest).

I tried to change the key repeat settings in Imon and in the Logitech Software but couldn't find any values that work.

With this new version of IRSS I hope I get a new chance for a working remote

Now my question: Does this version work together with MiniDisplay? Does anyone have working Imon + 885 setup that he would be willing to share?

Any help would be great!

Hello Markus,

I have Harmony one and quiete the same problems. Logitech support told me that the ImonPad compabilty is more a hardware problem, because of that Logitech adises to use MCE mode.

With it I'm actualy testing and very pleased with IRSS! See post before...

The the Buttons do like charm ! The MiniDisplay is doing fine, maybe it depends on hardware Version?!?

Only thing I'm missing / figting with, is the configuration of mapping with MP plugin, but I expect it's only a matter of time / experience. Also the number of buttons is less than ImonPad, but maybe I try other MCE devices of Imon and can get some more...

So my way will be IRSS with MCE-harmony!

Is working well here so i have no idea why is not working for you (i only have two conditions for My Videos "Fullscreen Video" and "No Condition") i even replaced My Pictures with My Trailers and is working...

That issue was fixed by chemelli some weeks ago for both x64 and x86 systems...please post the MediaPortal.log here and we will have a look.

Edit:btw,this last issue occur only when minidisplay plugin is enabled right?So u need the latest minidisplay version or MP 1.1.0 alpha.

Yes, it seems to be something with the minidisplay plugin: If I disable it, Commands do fine after closing MP, enabled no action.

I use the newest Version 4.2 and actualy don't want to update to alpha.

I did a test and deleted all Layers and kept only "no conditionen" with Window - home: Noting happens!

Logs show "Videos". Is this maybe something diffrent than "My Videos"?!?

Another Test Mapped the Macro to "Aspect Ratio" : Bingo: Moving Pictures!

hmm, I am not sure why, but it doesn't seem to work for me:

I do have an Antec Fusion case, using a Logitech Harmony 885 mapped to MCE (1039)

I installed IRSS, used Auto-Detect in config, which resulted in iMon USB and Windows Messages checked.

You most probably installed IRSS as InputService, but your imon is a hid device so you have to install it as IR Server.
