Same log. Completely fresh install of suggested svn's and nothing. I don't know what could be preventing it from starting. Trying to manually start it from windows services.msc says "Started then stopped immediately" no explanation as to why

Are the tuners showing up under Device Manager?
Do you have the Arcsoft software installed, and if so do the tuners show up and work properly?
When you uninstall, do you wipe everything and start completely fresh?

What I have done in the past, is uninstall everything and choose to do a complete uninstall (it deletes the databases.) I then install the full RC3 version (from the MP home page) and then installed the builds from Garry on top of the RC3 install (and when prompted don't do the full wipe...)

Another question...which HD-PVR drivers are you running? I put the 1.1 drivers in place a while back and they brought SageTV to its knees. I reverted back to the shipped drivers and have not had any real issues with it....other than the usual HD-PVR lockups... I'm going to give the 1.1 drivers a shot eventually, but for right now, I'm leaving the 1.0 drivers in place.

Im running the 1.053 drivers posted currently on the Hauppauge web site. I noticed the channel changes are a little slower with the newer drivers and have thought about rolling back, but its not bad enough that I cant live with it.

    Yes I do complete uninstalls.
    Using 1.1 drivers.
That's what I've always used and had a breakthrough once.

What regular hd pvr freezes are you talking about? I haven't even get to use the thing yet, sadly.

p.s. I just got it working brilliantly w/ IR blaster in SageTV. Well by brilliantly, I mean more success than I've ever had with MP. But I would rather use MP by far. Mainly for TVSeries plus HDPVR support. =]

One word of warning I forgot to mention, when you upgrade from RC3 to RC4 it does a complete wipe of ALL the settings. It does this because it uses a new database (if you have SQL server tools you can take a look) with a new schema. So it may be worth while to uninstall everything, install the RC4 from the home page, then apply Garry's latest builds on top and try that. I have been using skins other than the default, so that (I think) is where most of my problems have been with RC4.

I updated the first post in this thread with links to a new build. It looks like my code still isn't in SVN, it probably isn't in the 1.0 release either.

    Thanks Garry!

One question, should we install the 1.0 MP version and then yours on top, or just install your version? (I guess a better question would be is your build all inclusive?)

I am planing on installing the latest build from post 1. What is the best way to keep server and MP settings over new builds? Installing over the old version works but I am not sure it is the best way. There is a utility to save and restore TV server settings. I am not aware of a similar utility for the MP client.
