Well, I am just pleased as punch to find out the HDPVR works like a charm in 1.01 :) I had to do a full MP product cleanup first to get rid of all svn traces - I even dropped the TVServer database - then installed clean and set everything back up. Works great, channel changes are nice and fast (I am using a USB-UIRT with IRServer Suite's TV3 plugin) and really the only thing left is the old standby - the 10 second wait for the PMT to start.

Thanks again for all the hard work and if anyone wants to give a go at trying to reduce the PMT start time let me know.

This one works great for me...I did like you, uninstalled everything and completed a clean install. I then created this new dll from the 1.0.1 SVN and copied it in, and it starts in a second or two...

Try it and let me know how it works....

    Nice, thanks WileE!

I stopped the server, copied over the file, restarted, set the PMT to 2 seconds in the settings, and now it starts in, well, 2-3 seconds :). I had it set to 1 second before which was near-instant but I was having some codec trouble (I think) and the video froze so I bumped it up a bit and it works just fine. A major improvement over stock either way. Thanks again!

HELP!!! I just did a complete clean install and now my HD-PVR won't grab the PMT. I don't know what's wrong. I did the fresh install option and just turned on SchedulesDirect after the install, mapped the channels to the HD-PVR Crossbar, and tried to do a Preview and nothing. Any suggestions guys???? ::cry::

Disable your Powerschedule plugin to test. Still have a problem?

When you did a clean uninstall did you drop your TV database as well?

You can also try the dll WileE posted, it's really just to decrease the PMT wait on an already working setup but since it deals with PMT timing it can't hurt. Try it and remember to lower your PMT time value in General settings as well.

1.01 has been remarkably stable for me, using it on two clients plus the standalone server upstairs. It's been perfect since yesterday. I'm about ready to order another Dishnetwork STB and a second HD-PVR for dual-tuner action.

Well, I've been fooling around with WileE's tvlibrary.dll file, which seems to actually somewhat work. Now when I try to preview a channel, I see the STB blasted and then the computer sits for a sec and then tells me Preview failed:NoVideoAudioDetected. If I don't get the Preview failed message, then usually I get a preview window that pops up and it's all black. I can close it and try tuning another channel, but I'll either get a preview failed or the black preview window again, if that is TVServer just doesn't completely crash on me. I've played with the PMT settings, but currently it's at 10. I've opened TME and verified that I can get a signal in there. I just don't know what the hell is going on.

Also, I did remove everything when I installed 1.0.1. Which kinda sucks, cause now I got to go through the hell of setting back up all my clearQAM channels. Oh well, at least I remembered to back my channel list. Any other suggestions?

Attached is my latest logs with me screwing around with this for the last couple of hours. I did turn off PowerSchedular too just to make sure it wasn't that

    Hey Chesh,
When you set up your channels, what did you select as the video input? Used the YRYBYInput1 as my video source and it works like a charm (I set it up initially under Schedules Direct)....

Oh yeah, that's a good point WileE. I remembered from the patch notes that something was fixed re: sources on the HDPVR, so when I set mine back up in 1.01 via Schedules Direct I did the same thing you did - chose the YRYBYInput1 as the source. Didn't even think about it but as I remember it used to default to SVideo1, which was fine because the driver didn't bother checking inputs on the HDPVR anyway. Now that it's being loaded via the crossbar I bet it does.

Hahahahhaha, damnit both of you! You were both right! I redid my setup, and instead picked YRYBYInput1 and the damn thing started working like it should. Who would of thought to fix the HD-PVR to actually need to know the correct input. Oh well, seems to be working now. Thanks for the tip guys :)

Edit: Oh yeah, moves way fast now too BTW. Bout 2-3 secs to tune a channel with the HD-PVR using the .dll file you supplied WileE. Thanks a ton for that!

Glad you got it working Chesh :)

I've noticed another thing - it used to be real finicky about what codecs I used on the TV Client, either standalone or remote. I pretty much had to install the Arcsoft software on the clients I used and use it's codecs for it to work at all, which wasn't ideal because the Arcsoft codecs kind of suck and on my setups won't do DVXA hardware acceleration. Plus, they had the annoying habit of taking over codec precedence on Windows 7 forcing me to manually adjust DirectShow merits anytime I changed anything.

Since 1.01 and my clean install of it I've been able to use both MPC w/DVXA and CoreAVC as h.264 decoders. In fact I was able to completely remove the Arcsoft software from all but my TV Server PC. Apparently a lot of fixes and tweaks went in behind the scenes on this so again, thanks!
