The changes I made may work with multiple tuners, but I can't test since I only have one. I'd appreciate it if someone else could test.
CRasch,
I dont mean to speak for Garry, but it already supports SPDIF. I have my DirecTV receiver hooked up via SPDIF and after installing the HD-PVR 1.1 driver, I enabled DD on my DirecTV receiver and viola... 5.1 sound! So I guess they already thought that through...
Garry,
A little more information...I swapped the com3 & com4 connectors and now when I tune the server the first time, it does tune correctly. But now when I try to start the second stream on the client, it gives me a "Cannot start timeshifting" message.

Please post your tv server logs so I can take a look.
I seem to have working EPG with channels mapped to the HD-PVR. The quality is alright, but not like my STB, mainly distortion and noise. The issue with half frame rate at the beginning is still persisting.
There are horizontal waves which are noticeable on dark programs, which I am assuming is noise from the cables as when I move the cables the waves move also. I have tried different cables with the same result. Perhaps it's the room I will try in another. There are also bands of distortion on the bottom and sometimes top of the picture, which are reminiscent of a vcr with bad tracking. Both problems manifest in MP and TME, so I'm assuming it would be a problem with the unit or my drivers/codecs.
As well, there is a delay in a STB channel change for example and the Live TV feed actually changing channels. I don't have an IR blaster set up yet so I am changing channels manually. The longer the feed is going the longer the delay appears to be.
Edit: The distortion waves and bands at the top/bottom don't appear with the composite video in.
Sirc,
A few questions.
Is your cable box capable of outputting Composite and Component at the same time? (Sometimes it will default to the lowest resolution if both are hooked up.) You might try unhooking all other cables except the component and SPDIF (or other audio) cables.
What resolution are you running out of your cable box? I find that my Directv box works best running at 720P. At 1080i I see tearing and the picture is overall grany.
What H.264 codec are you using?
