iPiMP 4.0.0 released

iPiMP 4.0.0 is released - you shouldn't see too many differences from previous versions but be assured this is a ground up rewrite of the web application.

The database has undergone a few changes so your old one will just be ignored, therefore you will have to re-add all users and MediaPortal clients.

There may also be a few small bugs re-introduced - so please report these as you find them. I'll use the issues section of the Google code site to track them.

I'm using 1.1 plus latest SVN. Install of 4.0 went well, but am getting an error when trying to view the TV Guide...

Nice to see the new error handling in play Shame about the error though

iPiMP 4 works with MP 1.0.2 - there are known issues with 1.1.0 beta+ such as scheduling a program to record, this looks like another 1.1.0 issue.

I'll add it to the issue list and have a look.

Thanks to tjaennu who reported 3 bugs on the iPiMP Google code issue tracker.




These have been fixed and will be in 4.0.1

Yes - uninstall the old version first (you'll be prompted to do this when you run the 4.0.0 installer anyway).

I've uninstalled iPIMP 3.5 and now tried to install iPIMP 4 (tv server only) but while installing i get the following error:
"GACUtil install failed - Reason: -8"

and then:
"iPIMP Apache Service Start fehlergeschlagen - Grund: -8"

I'm using Vista x64 and MP SVN.

hi cheezy, again thanks for this amazing plugin. At the moment I am using MP Beta 1.1.0. Would you recommend to downgrade MP to 1.0.2 for using ipmp?
