Cheezey - great app. :D

I can manage to login via my home wifi network from iPhone using safari. Seems to work great.

Unfortunately I can't login from outside my home wifi (i.e. via 3G mobile network connecting to internet).

I am using an O2 wireless ADSL router (Thomson ST780) and believe that I have followed instructions in the Hints & Tips.

i.e. I have created application in router settings (named iPiMP) using protocol UDP with port range 80 translating to port 80 and assigned this to my PC which is a singleseat MP installation.

I have never attempted port forwarding before and checked out the PortForward.com - Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model website. I didn't assign a static IP address - possibly this is causing the problem.

I tried to check connection via mobile 3G network by simply turning off wifi in iphone.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Are there any applications / games in the portforward.com website which are similar to iPiMP. I could maybe use that as a template.

    Two questions / bugs:

1.) The TV groups are sorted in alphatically order - shouldn't them sorted like in tv-server?
2.) iPimp will not work any longer with latest SVN cause of the TV Guide Speedup changes in SVN Code.

I also have a question or two, sorry if they have already been answered.

    - Does it rely on databases for music views? I currently just use Shares view, so I guess I'd need to bite the bullet and clean up my db?
    - Is there a now playing screen? How quickly does it update? With this tool can I browse artists and build up playlists without switching the TV on?

I don't currently have an iPhone, but its upgrade time, and this app would provide a major reason for me to get one. Massive thanks in advance.

disaster123 - I'll add these to the issues log.

kenwonders - Yes it uses the music & movies databases - it's the way to go! First sort your MP3 tags out with the fantastic MpTagThat then import them into your DB.

And yes - There is a now playing screen - it updates manually (press the refresh button).

And dbl yes - you can browse music by artist, album, genre, year & search track titles, artists, albums etc. and build up playlists without switching on your TV.

Can I recommend you read the first post of this (rather lengthy) thread and also the wiki. You could also install iPiMP and test it in the Google Chrome or Safari desktop browser to see it in action without an iPhone.
