To be honest I rarely watch anything live using MP and pretty much always just record and watch at my convenience, so to have the ability to watch recordings will be awesome!

Ok, i have a TV card on the way so any recommendations on my installation problem? (doesn't detect .net framework even though I have 2.0 installed with SP1)

I'm running TinyXP if that makes a difference

Also, will I need to jailbreak my iPhone to use this?

Thanks!

No you don't need to jailbreak. Have you tried re-installing .net? I used to have issues with it and reinstalling it always fixed it.

As allanp81 says - you don't need to jailbreak - it's just a web app.

Also - did you select folders for the TV Server path and TV logos path in the installer?

Whilst updating it today I didn't select these and then got the .NET error - so it may be something in the installer logic that's causing this - I'll do some more testing tomorrow.

iPiMP 2.0.0.0 has been uploaded.

Read the wiki for full install and usage instructions.

Yep - the .NET check error happened if you didn't select a TV server path - the installer has been updated to stop this - but you really need to provide a path as iPiMP needs your Gentle.Config to work.

Have been trying this today. Works nicely as did the first release. Buggered if I can get the recordings to be viewable on my iphone though unfortunately. When I go into the configuration of the plugin with the setuptv app, I can't set the location for the mp4s to be saved so it just dumps them in the root of the C: drive. So when I then choose to watch on my phone it just says that the recording hasn't been transcoded.

The setuptv bit has a bug in that the browse button doesn't work for the mp4 path but you can type the path in manually and when you ok it should save that path. Does this not happen?

Well I did type it in and save it, but I still just get the same error when trying to play back on my phone. I noticed when I go to the settings page on the phone that under it server is just says "server" and the mp4s path is shown as being empty.
