Got to your start menu, IR Server Suite, Logs

Zip them up and attach them to a reply post so I can take a look.

    Thanks,

    ok, there's something wrong there.

Let me make some changes and get back to you...

Sorry about that, but I'm kind of coding blind on this one ... I don't have a device of my own to test with.

    Cheers,

hey thanks for all your work here! I have been programming for 20+ years and I know there's not much reward doing it for free, and all you get is a buch of whiners like me :)

    thanks again!

    Hi

    Was trying this out.

It looks like it's looking for a file, that is located on the F:\ drive on your machine. As that file structure doesn't exist on my machine, I'm guessing that it just needs pointing in the right direction...in my case "C:\program files (x86)\mediaportal"

    I've attached logs...

    howudodat:

No worries mate, gimme a day or two and I'll try again.

    mortstar:

What you're seeing there is an error because I didn't check if the Ir.exe was present before trying to launch it.

I'll fix that in the next try. The F:\MediaPortal Development. ... path is just my local folder path, it's in there because of the debug options in the code. It just helps me track down problems easier.

    Cheers,

    Hi
i have a hauppauge remote control, i installed IR Server Suite - Version 1.0.4.2
and run "input service configuration" i selected the "HCW Receiver" and pressed "Ok"
    then it "restarted input service"

Then i opened Translater, opened the setup and pressed "New" and i got the messege
"Press the remote button to map", but when i press a button nothing happens.

On my hauppauge box there is a red led, its was flashing when i press a button on my remote,
but after i selected "HCW Receiver" and the input service restarted, the led aint flashing
when i press a button. But if i deselect "HCW Receiver" and the input service is restarted,
the led will flash agin when i press a button.

Yes, the HCW support is experimental. I'm still trying to iron out some bugs.

I hope you will be able to test the next version as well, which should be available in the next day or two.

    Cheers,

Any update on this? I just installed it to try and get my Hauppauge remote working outside of MP (the native support in there works fine).
Like the others in this thread, I enabled the Hauppauge option in the latest version, restarted the service, then went to the debug client. Connected, then pressed some buttons on the remote, but nothing happens. If I got into translator, new, as soon as I click "Learn" it says failed...

    Logs att.

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.
