Yep that's the file, and it does get re-written on each start... so next time it fails grab that file for me please.

I'll try to fix it myself in the meantime.

    Thanks,

    Hi Aaron,

I have missed your plugin till now. Just wanted to give it a try with my IRTrans receiver even though there's the MP built-in support for it. But I have the same problem as GBA.

With some twiddling like he described I can get it working but it's kind of unusable for now. The interesting thing is that your IRServer doesn't even write a log file when not starting up correctly...
If you need any infos I would be glad to help out.

    Hi Aaron,

after some time I tried your IR Server with fresh setup again. The mentioned problem sadly still remains. Interesting thing is that while installing your IR Server the IRTrans Server app gets shutdown. I think I saw some lines of killing threads in the installer window... Could it be a problem that the two apps share the same file name (if I remember correctly)?

Btw. a setup with WinLIRC for a friend of mine worked just fine! :)

ok, this would be because the IR server is unable to decode the button presses from the Foxtel remote. What I need to do is add support for the protocol that it uses. I will put the Ir commands into my Pronto and figure out what protocol it is and how to decode it. It is probably just a variation on one of the ones I already support, so it shouldn't be hard. I'll try to add support for it in the next version.

The next version will also have a nice OSD for translator to give everyone more control over their PC...

It should be available for download in the next few days.

    Hi Aaron,

I'm still using 28/10/07 version as it's working very well for my needs (except for the standby issue and Foxtel issue). Does the current version (or the coming soon version) fixes the Foxtel remote issue I have above?

Your work is so appreciated Aaron, thank you very much.

I can UL the codes used by Kreatel STB - if someone tells me how...

You just need to zip up the IR files that you've created for it. They are stored in:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IR Server Suite\

Under that folder there is a folder for each of the programs/plugins in the suite, find the one that you learned the IR Commands in and grab the files from the IR folder.

Then zip them up and attach them to a post here with information about what the STB is (Exact model name if possible) and any special info about the setup.

    Thanks.

I'll take another look at this and make sure it's 100% in the next release.

I've tried it here and it works well. Can you learn some buttons from your remote and send me the IR files so I can make sure it will work?

    Thanks,

The commands are the same as "Foxtel Digital DC420NF" you can find it in the template folder.

I'm not sure why you need these IR files? The problem is only when mapping buttons in the Programs tab in Translator. I'll give the new version a try when I get home tonight and report back.

    Thanks mate,

With the IR files I can pass the code through the IR decoder ... I'll try again to make sure it's 100%...

    Cheers,

    Hey Aaron.

Thank you for your great effort - I hope that you some time soon will find time to start working on the Hauppauge remote blasting also (PVR150). I would realy like to start using the the new TV3 engine - but we need you to develop the blasting capacity.
    Thanks
    Steen
