Im having a problem with the IR Server. What happends is it suddenly disconnects or something. I have to manually start it again... and then it disconnects again, and I have to start it again.. very anoying! Anyone else has this problem?

Please supply log files. I can't stress how important it is to supply log files.

This is an ongoing issue at the moment, providing logs will help me fix it.

A quick question for clarification

My question is, if I install IR Suite on my MCE computer, and disable the services in the documentation, would MCE loose the ability to download the EPG? I need the EPG from MCE for use in MP. Also, with IR suite installed, would the remote still work in MCE? I have the MCE 2005 remote and sensor, and (of course) MCE 2005.

BTW, from what I have been reading here, VERY nice work!!

The EPG download should work. If it doesn't then I might have disabled a service I shouldn't and I'll fix that for you.

The remote would work (to some degree) though I haven't fully tested it, so I can't say for sure. But you should be able to use the Translator program in the IR Server Suite to account for any missing functionality.

Give it a try. There's nothing it changes that can't be reverted back to the previous condition if you don't like it.

Unfortunatly I still have the standby problem with the new version. The IR-server just doesn't work when I resume from standby

I dont know what im doing wrong. The transmit plugin: "Microsoft MCE" wont load.

I have a MCE Remote with a IRTrans receiver. Everything works fine with the MP built- in IRTrans plug-in. Did anyone here get this IRServer to work with IRTrans?

Remind me, What driver are you using? Default or Replacement? XP or Vista?

Can you tell me also, do any MCE services start up when you resume from standby?

Suspend/Resume is working perfectly for me, so there is something strange going on ... Maybe because your system specs show you are using XP MCE, I'm just using XP Pro SP2.

I know that the replacement driver is a little dodgy when it comes to suspend/resume, so if you are using that then switch back to the default driver there's no reason not to now.

Delay causing wrong channel

I am using version 1.0.2.0 of the channel changer plugin (on TVServer) to control my STB by running an external application to control my non MCE IRblaster for my PVR150. I know it's an old version but adequate for my purpose.

The plugin works great, except when changing channels for the first time if the PC has been idle for some time. It does not send the correct digits, For example, if I want to change to channel 503 I get 35_. Note that I do not allow the PC to go into sleep/hibernate mode.

Subsequent channel changes work fine, but i mostly use MP as a DVR, therefore I am always recording the wrong channel for scheduled recordings.

I have tried using the repeat count option (set to 2) without success.

Is there a way I can wake up the plugin or MP before changing channels, I don't really care if makes channel changing slow, as long as I get the correct channel.

That's bizarre, what shows up in the logs?

That sounds more like a bug in MediaPortal than the plugin.
