I did turn off MCE remote in mediaportal setup before I installed IRSS but still double jump

how come you say I dont have to install extra patches but says on fisrt page:

"Edited by Rekenaar; 2009-01-30. Reason: Attach 1.0.4.1 patch files here
If you are still using V1.0.4.1, please install the following 2 patches.
You must disable the input service (start menu, run, services.msc, find the input server and stop it) before you can update the files.
    Microsoft MCE Transceiver 1.0.4.1 - SP1
    TV3BlasterPlugin - 1.0.4.1 2008-01-13"

This is bloody annoying why I cant get this to work
I had the blasting sorted a few months back for 1 day then in the morning it started double jumping
I have since reinstalled windows and Mediaportal many times trying to figure this crap out

Rekenaar knows far more about IRSS than I do. If Rekenaar says you have to install something you better do that. The instructions I have given is based on my setup. I did not install the TV2BlasterPlugin and MCE Transceiver on 1.0.4.1 build 2391. I am not sure what build of 1.0.4.1 he is referring to.

Have you tried any of the things I suggested in the previous post?

Do not lose heart with IRSS. It is wonderful when it works. Getting it to work is sometimes tricky. I had IRSS work intermittently until I replaced the MCE transceiver kit (the hardware part not the software). The hardware was misbehaving in my case. Ever since I repalced the IR Blaster kit everything is working fine.

Ok I have got the blasting part working by installing IRSS 1.0.4.1 and putting MCE Transceiver and TV3 Blaster Plugins where I think they might go
But no matter what I do cant stop the double jumping when moving around in mediaportal

Can anybody help me with this and confim for me where the patch files are meant to go??

Oohh great now the blasting from within Mediaportal has stopped also

Regarding the double clicks and jumps, there are a few threads already on that subject. You might want to try searching for a solution in those threads. Do you have iMon by any chance?

I am not sure if Rekenaar is watching this thread any more. Did you try sending him a PM?

What skoka means, is that you do not need the separate MSE Replacement plugin. That is a different plugin.

The fix you quoted me, is fixed files for IRSS. Only required fot that specific version.

    Hi there,
I am using mediaportal 1.0.0.0 together with IRSS 1.4.2 and MCE remote running on Windows 7 beta. I followed the instructions and deleted the registry keys and was able to use every button of the remote. Today I decided to install Mediaportal 1.0.1.0 with the result that only the "left", "right", "up", "down" and "ok" buttons worked (basically the state before deleting the "CodeSetNum0" to "CodeSetNum3" entries. However, deleting those now leaves me with no button working. Uninstalling 1.0.1.0 and reinstalling 1.0.0.0 does not help either. Only restoring the whole harddrive from an image file helped. I have disabled Windows updates so they cannot mess things up in between.
The "Input Service.log" file is attached.
Any help would be very appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Jonas

Nevermind, a fresh installation of the IRSS solved the problem.

Anyone else having issues after upgrading to media portal 1.0.1?

My IR setup was working fine for ages, now something bizarre is happening.

I am using the translator to blast my TV power on/off codes. Was working fine like I said - until upgrade. Now I'm getting unreliable behavior that seems to manifest by the system seemingly randomly blasting the TV power on code when it feels like it. It actually turned the TV on while I was at work once.

Hey Belcom... What do you need... I recently updated to the "Antec Fusion Black Remote" case and can't seem to get any joyl... I am using the remote that came with it, I belive the RM200 and just can't get any thing to work through IRSS... The remote is working fine in the sense that I can use it in Windows but it is operating like a mouse and keyboard rather than a remote...

I belive it is the HIR thing you guys are all talking about.... Thanks

No luck using the TV3 Blaster plugin since updating from 1.0.0.0 to 1.0.1.0 either - there is an error message about no local comms stopping ir service or similar when trying to configure plugin in TV server config. The plugin also seemed to cause an audio issue (stuttering) if ticked in TV server config - deselecting it stopped the audio issue. Am unable to access the configuration menus for the plugin either. Was using 1.0.4.1 + the 2 patches without problem prior on 1.0.0.0, also tried the 1.4.2.2627 build without luck either.

Hi Belcom, these days i've did some testing with IRSS (based on latest svn avaible + the patch for HID devices) and my ImonUltrabay using the ImonPad remote. The test was made with Ir Server on Vista SP1 x64 using both ImonPad and Abstract configuration, here's the results:

    Abstract remote
Using this mode and selecting Abtract Remote in both Ir Server Setup and MP plugin my ImonPad is working, but not without issues.

-using the directional pad on the remote is almost impossibile in MP,because the sensitivity is too high (didn't found a way to adjust that)
    -some remote mappings are missing

    ImodPad remote

With this configuration the ImonPad is not working in MP.All the mappings are found in both MP plugin and Debug Client but it just don't work inside MP.

Logs are attached for both modes...
