Any word on Disaster's patch... We have a sudo solution with the current IRSS minus some pretty basic stuff.. Managed to get so close yet still, unless I"m missing something here is still unusable.

so I installed IR Server Suite 1.4.2.3018 and deleted the reg entrys to stop windows hogging the controls ...
    Zas,
Care to explain what you mean here?
This sounds like it might help with the chronically sluggish response to RC, which I experience in MP.
    TIA!

There are some registry entries that I find I need to delete to get the "Start" (Green) button not to open up M$ Media Center and other remote keys that Windows keeps control of. I found the instructions on this page:
    (Obsolete) MCE Replacement Drivers

I found the link in the footer of and-81's posts

    Hope this helps...

The best method is to use Microsoft policy to prevent Media Center to start services :p

Next SVN will have a button to make it simple for everyone ;)

What do you mean by this? The method I specified here stops all control functions and I really only want to stop Media Center starting on the button and also to stop the power buttons from doing anything... As until a version of IR Server comes out that works on the x64 OS I can't use it :-(

Probably TV Server was running when you installed the new version.

    - Stop TV Server
    - Deinstall 1.4.2.3049.
    - Check the TV Server plugin folder, make a backup of that folder, delete the IRSS plugin .dll's afterwards. If the IRSS deinstall went as should, there shouldn't be any left in the first place.
    - Reboot.
    - Install IRSS 1.4.2.3049 again.

I don't have TV Server yet I still get this problem with the newest version. :)

Edit: Although I don't know that the error I get refers to TV Server directly or the other plugin (Not at home to check will do when I get home.)

Fixed with newly posted build. Thx Nephilim to point that out.

    Hello,

This is the thread for Version 1.0.4.1 of IR Server Suite.

There is a Preview of Version 1.4.2 available for download here too. If all is well I will release 1.4.2 final shortly. So please let me know if you have any trouble. Thanks.

Please note that the version numbering scheme is changing between 1.0.4.1 and 1.4.2. The final number in the version will be used for SVN debug test releases.

    Please read CHANGELOG carefully.

Documentation is no longer included in the releases made on the forum, this is to keep the download size under the forum attachment limit.

If you'd like to comment on this version or if you find a bug in this version then please reply in this thread. Please provide as much information as you can about any bugs you find including log files (you don't know how much a log file can help me).

If you have a more general comment then feel free to start a new thread, or if you have a feature request then please add it on the Feature Requests list.

Please give us feedback regarding this release

    Cheers,
    Hi,

Is it compatible with Mediaportal 1.0.2.0? I installed it and it gave some signature error on IRSS????.dll (can't remember the file name exactly) while loading TV server configuration. also the Mediaportal configuration gave error and closed. I uninstalled it and installed the previous version (as i remember some build of 1.4.1) and it works.

one more issue is the learning problem. I have Media center remote with HP IR transceiver that has 2 transmit ports at the back. I suffered in the learning process as it was giving "Learn IR failed" almost every time i used my receiver remote in the learning process. some times it gives success without even pressing any button on my remote. I covered the transceiver and remote so it can not get any other signal from any where and after trying many times i manage to get success in the learning process for the first key. but when I tried to test it, it did not change anything on my receiver. although i feed the signal for all the number keys on my receiver remote, non of them is working when i press test. i tried to run mediaportal and tried from within it but no success.

I really need help on it. this is the only configuration left in my media center. after that I can start using it full time and through away my old media center device. I need the following:-

    1. latest compatible version of IRSS with Mediaportal 1.0.2.0
    2. any solution for IR learning problem that doesn't do any thing on the receiver after even learning successfully.
    3. any fixes for IRSS to solve these issues
    4. does it matter if i connect the IR transceiver to front or back USB port on my PC? right now it is connect at the front USB port.

    thanks
