Are there any updates on this? Would be nice to have and not so difficult to implement. If the user has already a "theme.mp3" in the season folder, just play it in loop until he starts an episode or quits the menu.
And with downloading:
I don't think that you have to care about this at the moment, because the user can download the matching theme song on his own and put it as "theme.mp3" in his season folder. This wouldn' t be too much work for the user I think, because most user haven't more than 10 different seasons.

I know it's been three years, and sorry for reviving an all-but-dead thread, but I came across the TVTunes plugin for Kodi recently as well and I'm wondering if anyone might still have any interest in developing it for MP? It's a little bit outside of my ability to do so but I'd love to see something like this.
