Is there any *current* skins? (1 Viewer)

I've just installed MP and about 7-8 skins and each one gives out of date errors, are any skins compatible with rc3 yet?

I use Monochrome and it's compatible with RC3. For the outdated skins: open the references.xml in the skinfolder and change the version-number to 0.9.2.0. Should look like that <version>0.9.2.0</version>

Then the error-box disappears

Just started playing with MediaPortal and found that AEON Wide isn't compatible with RC3, but PureVision and Xface is.

That's because it's ahead of the others and is on current svn, the reference.xml is now at version 0.9.3.0

Interestingly enough I found it does work, but the "home" screen is just a blank brushed aluminum like background. If I navigate directly to a function, like music, pictures, etc. using my MCE keyboard, these screens do come up.

I tried changing the version number in references.xml to 0.9.2.0 based on forum tip and it didn't help. So it seems they are ahead of the curve, but is there a work-around? I'm trying to settle on a skin and I find this and xface have the best "wow" factor.

Ok now all you need is the version this list refers to, then a link to each of the updated/current skins download and we get this stickied - voila no more lost newbies

Not sure if it's relevant but maybe an indent under each of the current skins with links to a good/working skin for each of the popular plugins like MyFlims etc...

But note:

That they are still under development does not mean that they are RC3 compatible.


Now all we need is input on what skins are up to date and working with the most populare plugins (MyFilms, MP-TVseries, MovingPictures and so on)

But could be an idea to wait with that untill we get a release of MP1 and give the designers a little time to get up to date. I think Harleys skins (Xface and PM3) aren't all up to date because he's working on Blueskins atm.

And Indigo and Monochrome is sort of in the same situation since PR has been gone for a while, but he's back and working on it now.
