I have analog + DVB-T in a hybrid card config. When I preview DVB-T for a while it stops both audio and video and in the log the reported error is:

    Jump backward in PCR detected! prev 0 days 10:20:33 690 new 0 days 02:47:45 92 diff 0 days 07:32:48 598 - pid:200

I did some more test and found that the differences between analog (working fine for more than 40 min) and DVB-T (stops after 10/15 min) are:

    1) Analog create MPFileWriter.Log , instead DVB-T create TsWriter.Log.

    2) Analog after creating 6 .ts reuse the old one, DVB-T write "Jump backward in PCR detected!" and "Jump forward in PCR detected!" in the log when video freeze.

Hope this help identify the issue. IF you need any further info or want me to test a new version feel free to reply to this post.

First of all I don't think that this issue is related to the hybrid card feature. The hybrid card feature only guarantees that only one part of the hybrid card is used at the same time.
The reason for the two different log files is quite simple. Analog cards are using a different filter for recording and timeshifting than DVB cards. This filter is called MPFileWriter. DVB cards are using the filter TsWriter which is also responsible for grabbing epg and many other things. This is the main reason for the two different log files.

I have the same issue, after the "Jump backward in PCR detected" error is printed in the TsWriter log file, either the playback stops or it slows down (eg. to a sluggish 1 frame/sec).

I have an Hauppauge HVR 1300 but I have no analogue channel defined, so also don't think this has anything to do with hybrid cards, nor with EPG grabbing (I disabled it).

The strange thing is that this only seems to affect some channel (or some MUX), I've been able to watch some channel for half an hour without any problem, while on some other channel the problem appears after just a few minutes.

Still some issue with SVN 16504.

As suggested by Hexagon, I tried Dscaler and I have a very good audio.
Very good video too using Dscaler + ffdshow as post-processing for deinterlacing ( Kernel Bob ).

The issue I'm still experiencing is the Jump in PCR detected.

Can some dev please review my logs before going to 0.2.3 final ?

    Thanks in advance.

Same error for me "Jump backward in PCR detected!" and "Jump forward in PCR detected!" especially on Canale 5.
    Thanks,
    sdf.

Same error for me "Jump backward in PCR detected!" and "Jump forward in PCR detected!" especially on Canale 5.

Those aren't errors. Only telling that the broadcaster did send non continuos PCR timestamps. TsWriter.ax doesn't currently handle those cases always properly (especially if the PTS/DTS timestamps doesn't have the same jump).

Those should be fixed by someone.

It looks like this error happens quite often with Italian broadcasters, I think we (Italians!) can all try any "test version" / "debug-enabled version" to provide more logs or whatever is needed to help... assuming "someone" is actually looking into this...

Also, if anyone can actually confirm that this problem started after a specific SVN version (I think one from the end of september) then maybe this is a useful information for the developers to look into what's actually changed in that release (or was it just the first version to use this TsWriter.ax?!).

Thanks Tourettes, so the PCR jump itself it's no a bug, but is "buggy" the way tswriter handles it. I'm glad to know that someone is looking at it.

I'm available to test any test/debug version to solve the problem...

If I remember correctly the problem appeared more or less ten days ago.
I don't know which logs are needed.
If a developer tells me, I will post them.
    Thank you
