I am not sure under what scenario this would be useful. If you have lost focus then MP won't see the key press telling it to always be on top.
Why not rig up your remote control to do an Alt-Tab key press?

It's not a big deal of course. I just hoped there was some kind of trick around it without turning it off completely.
I often check stuff online in-between movies or episodes, and it would be useful if I could just turn it off temporarily instead of having to minimize MP to the tray.
Alt-Tab doesn't work since "Always on top" cancels everything in the backround of MP.

Sorry to interrupt you guys and it is kinda off-topic maybe but is it possible to minimize MP to tray with Alt+Tab?

No, but you can use Alt-F4 to minimize it to the tray. That's what I use at least.

The scenario is that I got MP in fullscreen and maybe wanna have a short look on a website with a browser. So I press ALT+F4 an MP will minimize to tray and if I finished looking up stuff I go to tray and click on the MP icon and it gets fullscreen again?
