hi @all,

after some weeks of silence in this thread I want to ask if there is any progress in supporting the cineview module for KNC1 TV-Station DVB-S with latest TVServer-SVN?

I updated the BDA drivers from KNC to 1.7.1.8 and it works fine/stable for unscrambled channels.
Only CI support is not working.

Cheers

Hello,

I have also the problem that my CI is not supported at the KNC. Is there new one concerning that?

A further question for my part. Can one dial the section channels with the TVE 3.0?
As for example arena or sport premiere portal.

I would like to thank in advance for the answers.

Yesterday they released a new version of GlobeTV (Software bundled with KNC1 Cards) at
http://dvbforum.com/
"GlobeTV Digital - V2.1.1.4 Build 0.5.0.4 Entwicklerversion V3"
and after reading release notes I found: BDA driver: 1.7.4.2

Can't test it myself at moment, because my HTPC is disassembled atm.
But maybe they improved drivers so that they will work now with Mediaportal and scrambled channels.

Does anyone know or can confirm it is working (or how to get scrambled channels to work)?

    Hi,
I think, it is still not working, I am following this issue since a few months, and there has not been an update in the changelog relating to this problem.

Unfortunately :( , because actually I wanted to switch to MP as fast a possible , but it has not been possible for me, yet.

    cheers

    Hi guys,

I started another test to get the KNC1 TV-Station DVB-S card to work with CAM/CI.

I'm afraid, but there are no positive news :(

Because of this reason I bought a TT-S2-3200 with CI and uninstalled the CI module for the KNC card.
Now I reinstalled the CI module for the KNC card again and placed the CAM in this module. This time with the latest SVN and latest KNC BDA drivers (see my system information).
With KNC software (GlobalDigital) it works fine. Channels are descrambled.
With MP tve.3 the CAM is not recognized and so the channels aren't descrambled.
I found a message in the tv server logs that KNC card is detected without CAM.

I also tried to change the card priority and channel mapping to the cards but without success. No way for me to descramble the channels with the KNC card and module :(

Switching back the CAM to the TT S2-3200 CI module and all works fine again.

Sorry guys, but I think this will take some time more to be fixed.

I'll try this again and post new information if there will be changes in tve.3 or BDA drivers from KNC1.

    Cheers

As a MP noob i have a question about the mode of operation of the CI Interface with MP. Can I use the CI interface which is attached to my KNC1 Station DVB-C card to encrypt channels that i receive with my Hauppauge Nova SE2 DVB-S Card, or is this unpossible?

    yes it works
However the KNC driver needs the latest msvcr*.dlls to be installed
    otherwise it wont work:-(
I didnt find a redistibutable file yet for this to include in svn
