Has anyone started a MP based last.fm client yet?
I mean the client, not the audioscrobbler process plugin.

    Hi codemonkey

what should such a plugin do?
I think the audioscrobbler plugin scrobble the music so if you are within MP there is no need to interact with the last.fm software, or is?

Correct me if i am false.

    Chef:

It scrobbles, yes. But I am talking about a plugin to play music from last.fm like the last.fm client does. Similar to internet radio.

Ahh you want to listen to the radio streams of your own or of your last.fm group. i think i read something about this in the audioscrobbler thread.

I also have the opinion that this should developed in the existing plugin and not seperate. So the audioscrobble development started and has huge 'potential'!? or let's say future.

I just looked at the client source and it really isn't too bad. The stream is MP3 which MP already handles for internet radio.

It will be a seperate plugin though because the AudioScrobbler is a process plugin and this could end up having some GUI involvment. I need to look at the current internet radio code, but the last.fm addition may very well slide in there. Plus the AudioScrobbler plugin uses the specific web services interface provided by last.fm to get playlist, neighbor, and all the other stuff not related to the audio stream. The client plugin probably will do just the stream related stuff.

That was quite bad with AudioPlayerWMP9. With the external BASS player I finally got streams working reliable.

Therefore MP has AudioscrobberRadio for a few days now - most things already implemented :D Design team is just thinking about skin concepts.

I guess svn will have something to test in a few days - just watch for a new thread then ;)

I was not previously aware of the "Drive Free Space" plugin, and it is not easy to find. (There really ought to be an easier way of finding plugins.)
