Settings for MSI MEGA 865

Hi there,
I'm trying to get to plug-in to work for my MSI MEGA 865, but don't know which display type to choose in the pluging settings.

I searched the forums and found several statements that it would work, but I did not find anything about the settings in the recent version of the plugin.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Regards,
Gemini

Hi all!

I am an owner of a Zalman HD160 (irtrans). I am trying to use this plugin, but with no lack. In the plugin's settings I put "localhost" as connection method. I don't get any errors or warnings and also I don't get ant reaction from my itrans display. Is it wrong? Do I have to do anything else?

I use MP 0.2.2

Thank you
Constantinos

Hi, did you install port95nt.exe? AFAIK irtrans being an usb device doesn't need it, but externaldisplay plugin does a check if the tool is found even for this kind of display and won't load if it doesn't find it.

Hi Boobee and thanx for the reply!

I'll try this later today and I'll come back if it works. Just one question: the connection will be localhost or usb with this port95nt?

I'm not sure, but I fear this is an OEM display that is meant for Windows Media Center Edition PC's. Maybe others can confirm that?

This means that what you can display on it is very limitted, because it only supports communication the way MCE communicates with external displays.

Some time ago I started another plugin which emulates MCE. You can find it here...
As you will see, this plugin is not finished yet due to some current limitations of MP (which are being worked on behind the screens). But it is better than having a totally blank display;)
