Installed latest CVS Build,

Lifeview flyDVB Trio adapter

PROBLEM 1 :( :
Bad frequency range for Analog TV channel autoscan (for all tuners I think) ... for Italy
It starts from about 50Mhz to 200Mhz ... It can find one channel only.
The right frequency range should be from 190Mhz to about 800 ... there are about 70 channels (lifeview app find them all).
I didn't found a file where to change frequency range for analog TV.

PROBLEM 2  :
The single Analog TV channel found has moreover another problem:
viewing it withing mediaportal it stutters a lot !!
Also in configuration - scan for analog TV channel - on the preview window, the audio/video is a bit stuttering.
DVB-T channels instead are shown correctly.
It seems a problem because of there isn't an hardware encoder ... but it shouldn't be a problem when viewing only ... it could be when recording !

PROBLEM 3 (again) :
impossible to have DVB-T and DVB-S adapters together

I tried TVServer ... it manage all three adapters together, but it's a really beta ... I had many problems  :
one of them is again the PROBLEM 1 above
another is that RADIO doesn't works (it say it's not supported...)
and others ... (cannot connect do SQL DB after the first config session ...)

I wouldn't expect so many problems with trio an mediaportal ...
may be with a single tv tuner with hardware encoder there aren't problems ... but I need three tuners :D

Bye

Forgotten FlyDVB TRIO users

Hi again TRIO users

I'm agree with Hivanoe. I have no problems on scanning analog channels but about ...

PROBLEM 2
Effectively, starting and viewing analog TV channels is a headache in MP, I don't understand why, cause Lifeview software have no problems, even viewing Picture in Picture channels (analog and TDT in the same frame).

PROBLEM 3
This was mentioned a lot of times in this thread, but nobody give us a REAL solution.

Like Hivanoe, I tried TV Server, as Marcusb advised us in this thread. I obtained similar results after I did all configuration steps. But result was that MP didn't show anything but the desktop when it started (no image appeared after launching MP. That's to say, "Home" screen, was invisible and to close MP I needed to press <Alt><F4>. Only after renaming "TVprocess" dll file, neccesary for TV Server, I can use MP again.

There are other multi-tuner TV cards so, I can't understand why only FlyDVB Trio is affected by all this problems :( .

Some new ideas?

See you

Hi Faleloncio,

do you mean you can autotune all analog channels ?
What's the frequency range from the lowest channel and the highest in your country ?

In Italy there are analog TV channels starting from 190Mhz to about 7-800 Mhz

I noticed MP do autoscan from about 50Mhz to 200Mhz ... so It doesn't match the Italy frequency range.....
how can I do ?

Bye

About analog channels tuning

I have no problems tuning Analog channels. However, to tune all regional TDT Spanish channels I had to scan all European TDT channels. Maybe you can try the same with Analog tuner.

Your problem is not Lifeview TRIO related, so I think you may ask in some other forum or contact with other italian MP user.

Sorry I can't help you :(

I found the Analog TV autoscan problem:

before I was selecting ANTENNA as input source ....well ... I have an antenna on top of my house ! With this parameter the autoscan starts from about 50Mhz to 200Mhz and find one channel only fo me.

I tried CABLE as input source: MP detected all channels ... (starts from 50Mhz to over 700Mhz)
It's not correct in my opinion. There isn't Cable TV in italy !

In any way ... bug or not ... it decects all analog TV channels.

The STUTTERING problem when viewing Analog channels on myTV is still present :(
I tried a lot, testing advice from other forum users that have the same problem:
- use one RAM module instead of two
- change decoder codecs ...

no solution found ...

Bye.

Actually I solved this myself. I did have the correct driver (it was the only one which would work). It is a tool to detect the current run state of both...

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.
