    Hey,
as far as i know AtmoWin does not support Lightpack, so there is no way to integrate it into MP currently.
We are working on adding support for other programs though.
Can you tell me which software you are using currently to control Lightpack? Primatik? AmbiBox? Something else?

Yes, we have added Boblight support aswell as Hyperion support. I am not sure how well Boblight works on Windows (there is a version), but in generall both are Linux applications and a lot (most?) use them on something like a Raspberry Pi.
So, if you have a Pi or similar, then it should work this way, both Hyperion and Boblight seem to work with Lightpack.

I had a look at Prismatik, and as far as i could tell there is no way to send image data directly to it. So an implementation into AtmoLight would be very limited.
AmbiBox on the other hand supports this, and i have a prototype partially working, but i still have some problems i have to solve before we can add it to AtmoLight.

I'm using a LightPack myself on Windows 8.1 and it works perfect with MediaPortal.

No plugin is required inside MediaPortal, as it is controlled by AmbiBox which monitors anything shown on the screen. To turn the LightPack on/off, I did configured AmbiBox to listen to a keypress event and configured a free button on my remote to send that code.

    Right,
i forgot to mention that sorry.
If you are running Windows 8 and use the AmbiBox Windows 8 capture, it works very well i hear. With Windows 7 or older however the capture modes available will affect video playback, thats why there was a need for a plugin in the first place.

Well I'm on Windows 7... Should I upgrade to Windows 8?

Well hard to tell if you should change your os because of this.
If you want to use your lightpack now, and want it to work properly, then yeah.
If you can wait and hope that i get AmbiBox working properly with AtmoLight or can live with not perfect video playback, then no.
Maybe first try it out on Win7 ;).
