Is there any more news on this issue. I have the same problem, ffdshow with Live TV the audio is out of sync. If you pause and play it will come back in sync. All other codecs are fine but I would rather use ffdshow for TV for it's de-interlacing and resize features.

I also have the same problem. Live tv only. Ffdshow. I've tried just about every combination of output setting and processor filters to no avail. This only begun occuring since installation of 1.2.
And I can confirm it is only exactly live tv this occurs. A slight rewind syncs fine.

Switching codecs is a nonstarter. It's taken forever to get the right balance for all playbacks mediums.

Growing weary of what my friends, family and I refer to as the worsening.

So, 32 posts so far in this thread and no logs (or system specs in some cases).....how do you expect anyone to try and work out what's going wrong ?

I understand your perspective. However 4 pages in this thread probably detail more than the logs would reveal. Indeed it can be readily replicated, the conditions supplied herein.

Im glad the community springs to defense in the face of this sort of venting of frustration. But let's move back to the thread topic and I'll try to withhold my steam from here on.

Fair enough - but without help in identifying the problem it is unlikely to be fixed (or even worked on, given how hard it is to fix a problem which the developer can't replicate).
Huh, this is a known and old problem with the ffdshow codec and one of the reasons why the PowerDVD and the Microsoft codec (under Windows 7) is recommended by the community and developers for LiveTV. Every HTPC system I have access to (2 Windows 7 systems, 2 Windows XP 32 systems) has this problem. If you really think, that you will be able to see something from the Media Portal client logs, I can happily provide you with a few logs from different systems, but I thought that the development team knows about this since it should happen on every system. And I was under the impression that the devs can't really do anything about it.

// edit: attached a log of a Windows XP SP3 system. It's only MP 1.1.1.0, however other systems with 1.1.2.0 or 1.1.3.0 have the same problem. After ~15 minutes, the audio lagged ~2 seconds behind the video.

    @ You all
So what would the easy fix be? I´m using SAF6 with PVD11 but with ffdshow audio codec and having
lots of audio/video sync problem. PVD11 as audio codec?

The sync problems described in this thread should only occur if you use the ffdshow video codec for LiveTV. The combination of PDVD11 + ffdshow Audio Codec should not cause this sync problem.

Have you tried using the LAV audio codec yet with SAF6? It's recommended by hoborg at least. Also, under Windows 7, you should also try the Microsoft DTV-DVD codec for LiveTV.

Can i ask for small test?
Does the problem happend when playing recording or only on LiveTV?
If yes, can you open your recording in Graphstudio and see if desync happend here too?
Or just rename *.ts recording to *.m2ts and play it in MePo.

I bet this issue is caused by MediaPortal TS reader.
