You are right there, but unfortunately IMDisk isn't supported by MP yet, so for integration inside MP you still need another tool, but this is ot!

IMDisk should support the memory above 4GB on 32Bit systems.
There's a note on the site:
"An additional driver, awealloc, in this install package supports memory allocation beyond 4 GB limit on 32 bit Windows through address window extension, AWE."
To use this, activate the option in advanced tab.

Yep, sad but true. As long as you often need ISO files to be directly accessed by MP1 you need Daemon Tools too. You can use IMDIsk as if it's running anyway (because of RAM disk), if you're not that often use ISO. Simply because IMDisk mounts the ISO as a DVD/BD drive that is recognized by MP1 without issues. As addon to MP2 or XBMC (both have inbuild ISO support) IMDisk is ideal as it's fast, small and free... And I really like the explorer integration. Right click "Mount as Virtual drive", and you're ready to go...

Yes. Never tested it myself as I always using x64 on Systems with more than 2 GB of RAM. But it should work.

I have 8 GB memory installed but win 7/32 can only use 2,99 GB memory (I have 5 GB memory available), but it seems like the ramdisk program only can use the available memory that win 7 allows to. I can set a ramdisk to 1 GB but not 5GB

Oh, of course. Yes. Only the MOBO/BIOS see that 5GB. Windows can't see it. The software can't see it. You can't use it for a RAM disk unless Windows can see it.

I disagree. There are some ramdisk software which can use the unmanaged memory under 32 bit OS.

I've had similar issues, stuttering live TV with HD channels (this really was a harddisk problem as timeshift was on a server folder on a drive bender pool which formerly included USB2.0-harddisks, this was just too slow), switching to my (non-SSD) system disk made things a lot better, but still, there was some stuttering on HD live TV. (Signal level and quality both being at 100 from what MePo says).
Then I switched to ImDisk - problems are gone. And as this is a dedicated server, I just start ImDisk on system bootup automatically, so no hassles about mounting anything. Works great (2 clients, 3gb ramdisk on WIndows Home Server 2011, 8 gb total system memory).

It looks like C: is the SSD and T: is the other HDD.
In these logs, when you have glitches you're using T: for timeshift; when you don't have glitches, you're using C:\timeshift for timeshift
Is that correct?

When you tuned it at 23:49:35 using one of your TBS 6981 tuners and C:\timeshift\ it seems like you had continuity errors... which should not be the case if the HDD is the only problem... because C: is your SSD. Am I right?

No I have no stuttering problems when I use the SSD disk for timeshifting. As far as I can see the only problem is with tuner 5 (TBS 6891 dual S2card). See that there is a new driver available and I'm installing it now.

No I have no stuttering problems when I use the SSD disk for timeshifting. As far as I can see the only problem is with tuner 5 (TBS 6891 dual S2card). See that there is a new driver available and I'm installing it now.

Installed the new driver on my TBS 6891 and changed my timeshifting folder to my SATA disk still stuttering. Changed back to timeshifting on my SSD (OS disk) and no stuttering.
