Every step you requested has already been done by the OP and reported in this post throughout. Are you suggesting I do it all again instead of report a bug? OK!

I did reinstall everything, the server does work, I am streaming rtsp just fine to anything except MP client.

Thank you community, I meant log it as an actual bug or at least anyone working with the colossus and beta MP be aware.

AW: LiveTV blank screen no sound on client video and sound works on server

He's not the only one with this.
I have the same problem on 2 of 5 Installations (simultanious testing possible).
On 3 Client (same installation on all 5 Clients!: OS SAF 6.0 MediaPortal 1.2.0 Client only installation) it works, on 2 the same as the OP.
My mainsystems are running good. the 2 Clients are not so important so i ignored them.

If you need log i can reffer to my black screen TV Thread :D

Bug or not, i can't reproduse this as on one installation it works on another it doesn't. then i reinstall and on a 1:30 chance it will work after a reinstallation:eek:

    Hi,

That is useful, because you have no problem at all with your server if three of your clients work.

What might help is if you could post/point to logs where you play TV on one of your clients and it works, and another and it fails with the same symptoms as in this thread.

To thirdoff, have you definitely tried enabling rtsp streaming on your server and tested TV there? Normally on the server, MediaPortal does not use rtsp, so the problem could be related to rtsp streaming (firewall??? does your router have a built-in firewall?).

I am only trying to help here. There is absolutely no benefit in trying to get the whole team looking through the code for a bug that might not even exist.

Alright guys lets just calm down a little. :D
I'm just about to leave work. When I get home I'm going to try and look at how the client side streaming code determines whether video is available.

thirdoff: are you using the latest patches for the Colossus, or just "vanilla" 1.2.0b? I think you should try the patches if you haven't already.

cyberlu: I've looked back at the logs in the thread that you posted and your problem is *not* the same. Compare your logs (below) with the log section I posted from thirdoff earlier:

So in your case a video codec is actually inserted and then removed. Your problem might just be a codec configuration (internal within FFDShow even...) problem. Have you tried using the Microsoft codecs instead of SAF?

Il go through the logs of my other machines after work (just 09:26 am in switzerland :D)
Strange that one Installation uses another/misconfigurated Codec. i did just a plain installation on every machine an configured all exactly the same way.

I will report back after work:D

I thought connecting successfully to RSTP in VLC from the client or the server was already proving RSTP streaming was actually working... am I mistaken?

I have followed the Colossus steps and added patches from the start. I am repeating myself as all this is clearly stated. Anything new for Colossus in the last week?

I am part of the process, thus part of the community now and I thank you for participating.
    I contribute.

I lost digital snapstream to corporations, I lost SageTV before I even joined to a corporation.
I am looking for a new home for my media entertainment center.

Thank you, I assure you I am not being short (rude) and I know my way around most areas. I will learn the rest from you.

My latest test client logs, I am aware of uncommon codecs set, I've tried them all.

    Hi,

I assume that you have the same problem with the 2250 and with the Colossus. I don't much about the Colossus, but depending on how your channels are mapped, can you be sure which card you are using at any given time? One way is to check in TVServer config once the client starts streaming.

Because the Colossus support it relatively new, I would be inclined to remove this card and test again. If we can narrow this down to one particular card, that might help.

I'm not saying that this is necessarily the best way to work out what the problem is, just that it MIGHT provide useful information and it is what I personally would do.

    From the first post:
But the issue is on any client, Live TV from any source is only a blank screen with no sound.
