Anybody have a MP system working on a 750Mhz cpu.
I am building a basic pc to be a MP client for a bedroom, it will connect to my tv server.
Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks.

you will not get MediaPortal to run on that spec. it will be too slow.

    However, there maybe some alternatives

MP TV Client which is a basic GUI which will will allow you to select TV and recorded Tv and then start a stream and open up VLC player to that stream. On you Spec, you may have problems with HD TV stream jumping a fair bit. Link to forum thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mp-tv-client-262/announce-mptvclient-v1-2-5-20-12-2007-ii-22027/

You could also look at the web based gui which allows streaming in the same way. This is still in development but very active. https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/community-plugins-294/self-contained-web-server-interface-27320/

I had MP TV Client running on a PIII 500Mhz with 386 M Ram. sometimes jumpy on SD Tv but overall acceptable. could not do anything else on the machine at same time though. I have since upgraded my machines now as it only costs around $400 to get a machine to MP with HD stuff.

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Judging by the source code, 1.20 has DB version 61, and 1.33 has DB version 62. That is, one column has been added: symbolRateMultiplier

When I tested MP 2.5 some months ago using TVE3.5, I found that "scan for channels" failed to find any channels when I selected a DVB-T2 tuner (a TBS 6284) :(, but succeeded when I used a DVB-T tuner (a Pinnacle 2000i) :). Obviously the Pinnacle found only those channels broadcast in DVB-T MUXes (in the UK we have both DVB-T MUXes and...

Hi, it looks like the Client's server connection settings got corrupted somehow and were reset, hopefully this is an easy fix. Open MP2-Client, navigate to Settings->General->Connectivity->Home server. In the menu on the left there may be an option Detach from home server, if there is click it and acknowledge the dialog that pops up...
