[WiP] madVR support in MP1 (33 Viewers)

@Sebastii Tried with v168 TV and OV still OK but problems again with black screen with audio in Mov. Pic. and Series (stop and exit returns to home menu). No Problem with EVR or in widowed mode with Madvr videos play fine from both plugins. With my regular Madvr Rendering set up which is failing is shown in the attached screenshot, I found that after deselecting the "delay playback start until render que is full" HD videos in Mov. Pic. would play OK, also in Series some videos play but 720x 1280 vids still don't work in either plugin. (same is also true with all options deselected)
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Effectively other option (delay etc. seems to not works good on my side too from my memory long time ago, so i didn't use it (for ex presenter / dx11 did not permit to make it work screenshot / neither atmolight (i didn't use it but still).

In fact DX11 and separate device is not supply back to MP and then something can go wrong for MP.

And surely feature from madshi for it.

I just did a quick try : (so seems like you) on one movie and it start ok (movpic) and one series too (maybe there is other setting that interact)

Please try to supply log when black screen and/or madvr freeze report (you can also try alt+enter to see if screen goes back)

Tested today and no problems anymore with V167

About the stutter, it's normal (because MP enter in low latency mode when OSD/GUI/Topbar/Volume etc is displayed).
There is an option to not enter in latency mode (in MP config, you can give a try).

I activated this option and now i have no stutter, but the gui flickers. Could try to do a video somehow, if needed.

DRR should works when EVR is set and used (no read no madVR used ofc). For madVR, on my side if i didn't set correctly resolution/frequency, my projector didn't switch for example 1080/25 was not working but 1080/50 yes.

Hm.. I think the options are correct, you can see screenshots, but maybe this is also driver or AMD related. I post some logs and screenshots if that help in any cases.

With madvr i hadn't no luck so far, but realised that my AMD RX 460 dont supports 3840 x 2160 @ 23fps or 24fps, only 50 / 59 / 60. Dont know, maybe need to proof other drivers. I set the madvr display modes only to the supported modes, but also this dont helps so far. And again i somehow broke my 3D MVC while testing. Maybe after some hour it just dont want to show 3D

Certainly something is going wrong, tried your settings and the was no change still a problem with 1280x720. I will drop back to v165 tomorrow as a sanity check and let you know.

DRR (internal MP setting) when madVR is used is not handled, only madVR refresh is used (if setup)
I disable it because it get in conflict with madVR setting (maybe i can add another option to enable again back).
But it is only not handled when madVR is in use but not when for example you have setup to use madVR as video renderer but you have checked to use EVR for liveTV (read here EVR will be use only for live TV) and then in this case DRR internal MP will work but only in this case, for all other video (movpic / tvs etc. that use internal video player DRR will not be handled).

After that, ofc you have to be sure that windows and screen support resolution with frequency, because it seems that madVR really need the good value to have it working

For sure we need to find why and when it was broken, i have watched movies and series (long time ago that i didn't do much images / video and was really good) and it was working on my side.

I can't reproduce it

strange u cant.
i get the same issue with v168 like joecrow
on movpic and tvs, all start playing with blackscreen. only toggle back helps (return to previous on rc),
alt+enter acts like window in top right of the screen,
x y -keys gets ignored.

3d untested, 4k untested, tv-ok, ov-ok, normal video also open right (havent tried 1280x720 closer)
btw. seb, should we continue to use your tvs version or the normal one?
if the delay playback until start option is unticked all good again but some seconds picture missing on start as expected, not such a big deal but honestly im so damn used to it and dont want to loose it.

OK, went back to v165 and basically had no problems playing all formats in Mov. Pic. and Series (with my default Madvr settings). I did have other problems e.g. on closing MP Config got an error something to do with "Gentle Config" so I decided to use a sys restore I made of v164 just prior to the install of the new GPU. Naturally had to reload the correct vid. driver (uninstal/reinstall) but this time I just selected the vid and audio drivers. All still OK with MP and Series/Mov.Pic. but my hope that this might resolve the Refresh rate changing problem I reported earlier was not realised, it still crashes indows.

I think before I do any further testing here, on what is now looking like a flakey system (given others are not seeing the crashing problem), I should figure out what has gone wrong. Hardware (new GPU) and software (Win 10 Aniversary update) have all changed recently and I know changing the refresh rate never used to be a problem. I will keep you posted.
