works great when the routine is off. when I turn it back on i also recognised that the menu now seems much more slower e.g. if you change the channel list in mini-ep overlay and myvideo osd if something is played at the same time.
so without force rate ticked and madvr fse turned on. everything seem nice except 3d mvc fp stuff. tv recognized the 3d, madvr stats also showed 3d but that was 2d no real 3d. otherwise everything went well with fse enabled and now all my 3d glasses are empty so i do not care so much
and without the force rate and madvr fse off - all outstanding smooth and working

funnily, in the process of it, i remembered and realised why I have no problems zapping television and the manual display selection of auto3d on my htpc

as you can see, on that same key i already have autozap when tv is played and that causes the manual display of auto3d is suppressed or bypassed
and the new mapped divide auto3d key works well with the good old centrea hama
also found something else new

what is that supposed to do??? i mapped it but it did not do anything

Yep i have noticed it, in fact i use some code in action and then this is listed there lol.
So need to think to do it differently because this code should be trigger internally and not manually and i think this is also some other action i have add but not listed, so not sure why this one is it

But i didn't test it recently and i can't test on DEV PC lol

About the action, in fact other call was made by message, so i will try to changing it (Action to message) and this shouldn't be present in MP config after that

I remember that for 3D mvc to make it works with FSE, it was needed to enable "Delay playback start ......" option on my side.

Now that it works like the screenshot below (D3D11 in 10 bit), i didn't use FSE anymore.

But FSE and with the option force rate unchecked, it should works has before (and i would say with the option checked too) because the force refresh is only done when SBS or TAB are detected.
So for example, if we disable Auto3D plugin and enable the force option, it should act as before because the force rate will not be triggered

About the listed action in MP config, I was able to change the code to use a message instead of the action so no more madVR ..... action should be listed in configuration

thanks for the leftover disposal. although it sounded seductive...imagine a rates reset emergency button^^

about 3d mvc and fse, attached is a rough handy video from this morning with wrong 3d/2d playing
i also always use the madvr delay start setting but i dont really have to do it extra for 3d. that works normally even without it set.
i basically always enable it, because only so each video beginning starts without a few frames loss, depending on to the madvr buffers that need to be filled first, how big they are and of course on the hardware used.....(frames shall be presented in advance^^)
had also tested it with force option enabled and not 3d too... also on first try with 3d-fp play it did act exactly like before... starts playing with huge delay and black on screen, than tv detects 3d, the video is shortly displayed but only 2 seconds or so and just disappears but continuous to play without video on screen...same as withthe previous force rate enabled version
besides that every other stuff was going very well

I have done some test earlier this morning before going to work and i wasn't able to see 3D (doubled) in MVC in FSE, if i drag a window or use start button to make start menu visible, the 3D is working (i can see doubled image) but because it's in Fullscreen windowed mode and not in FSE, as soon as the drag windows on start menu is removed, MP goes to FSE mode and no more doubled image.

This is the issue i was getting when ihave this option turned OFF :

But i remember that checked this option (delay switch to exclusive....) make it's working before

But in final it's always related to how the madVR window is initialized and this is why i have added the workaround with this option :

But even with it, it doesn't works too lol.

And ofc on my side 3D MVC works with no FSE and like now D3D11 can be 10bits in fullscreen windowed, it's nice.

I can try to debug it again but testing older code to see if it's better for FSE but it will surely break many things lol. But worth a try.
I can confirm that MPC-HC is working but C++ direct talk to madVR

yep, on my side its the same. tried that mepo window 3d option too without luck this morning..also with windowed 3d all seems good

Btw. there is no need to tick dx11 just for that windowed 3d mode

Hey guys

I have try to workaround the Exclusive mode for 3D MVC, it's really always a weird issue (i have past many hours on it without a successful success lol).
I will provide a build where i have reworked how madVR window are created.
In this new creation windows, it seems that exclusive mode is more working better but not for 3D MVC.

In fact, i have noticed this on my HTPC, if i set the 3D switch from windows and use that madVR settings :

3D MVC mode is ok because 3D switch is already ON and we just have to manually set the TV to Auto mode (then it will detect the MVC and it works).
I can only test on my HTPC so @daWooky could be nice to confirm if it works, in the current MP madVR build and the next that will link later.

Ofc we need regression testing against this new madVR instance if we make it to the default

So what do next ?

I have added code in Auto3D to add a new mode in context menu and config, this mode is called 3D MVC, this mean we can trigger this mode from the context menu and don't need to use the remote from TV or beamer.

I need to fully finish the testing but seems to works OK, i just need to look that on video stop it goes to 2D it self
