Manual Record big problem (1 Viewer)

Watching live TV is OK.
If i press "REC" on the remote i am presented with two options.
I select manual record.
5 mins later i if i want to stop the manual record i have to press "Live TV" twice in order to stop the record but the stop record is not an option and i have to do this beause pressing the stop button does nothing.
I noticed that timeshift is now enabled even though i did not enable it manually.
If i turn timeshift off and go looking for what i thought i had recorded it does not exist.
Then i find that at the end of the show i am watching thjat MP wants to start recording( i get the popup).

I will say that i think the problem is only with manual recording although i find that
if i do a an automatic record using the guide, timeshift remains active after the record.

This sounds like a serious bug, what can i do to help you guys fix it ?

Hi,
The timeshift behaviour it's to big task to change, so thats how MP behaves....
The other i have to check.

Attach your logs to your post would help.

1. Start MediaPortal
2. Go to Live TV and choose a show.
3.Press Record on Remote
4.Choose (until stop)
5. wait 30 seconds or so.
6. Press Stop on Remote. Does nothing so..
7.Press LiveTV
8. Nothing is recording. The only defference i see in here is that time shifting has been turned on.

There is no recorded program for the 30 seconds or so.

Hi,
Have just installed a fresh version of MP 0.2.3.0 RC1 on my system to test this, i know i had the problem with MP 0.2.2.0 + SVN yesterday.

HI Roy,
just a little more info for you. After this happens if i shut MP down and restart when i go into myTV the REC indicator is now on in the top left corner.
This is behaviour reproducable 100% of the time.

how are we going
Bug or no bug ?

I would have thought this is one of the more basic functions of MP and therefore maybe some sort sort of high priority.

Should i go back to 0.2.2.0 do you think ?
I am surprised no-one else has submitted this type of bug.

Anyway, im sure your busy so thanks for your time which im sure is limited.

Hi,
I couldn't confirm it yesterday because it worked just fine, today it didn't work but after i closed tv & started to listen to music the rec started when next program in the epg occurred & records for the rest 4 hour, so yes it is a bug, but dunno whats triggering working/not working.

Am i really going to wait a long time ?
