    Hi :)

    You should be able to do it with some xml editing.

    First find the file holding your custom remote mappings.
    How
    Easy way is to do any temporary button change from the MP Configuration; Remotes (or MPControl plugin for IRSS if you use that) and to save your change. Then search for the xml file with today's date and time. Probably located in user files (START menu, programs, team mediaportal, mediaportal, user files) under \MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings
    When you have the file, remember to change your temp change above back to whatever it was.

    Mine is Microsoft MCE.xml and I will explain based on that.

    Edit the Microsoft MCE.xml file with notepad.

    Look for this piece of code:
    <button name="My Videos" code="74">
    <action layer="0" condition="WINDOW" conproperty="6" command="ACTION" cmdproperty="18" sound="click.wav" />
    <action layer="0" condition="WINDOW" conproperty="2005" command="ACTION" cmdproperty="18" sound="click.wav" />
    <action layer="0" condition="*" conproperty="-1" command="WINDOW" cmdproperty="6" sound="click.wav" />
    </button>

    Change the 6 (marked in red above) to 96742 (The windowid for moving pictures).

    I don't get this to work, either for Moving Pictures or for MP-TV Series which I really want (my research shows this ID to be 9811).

    Also after changing the Microsoft MCE.xml, if I enter the Media Center Configuration for remote it deletes the Microsoft MCE.xml and the settings I've made there previously. Is this normal behaviour?

    Here is how you can do it with out editing xml files directly

    - In the MP configuration under Plugins, open the config for 'MP Control Plugin'

    - Go to the 'Macro' Tab create a 'Goto:' for the window ID (you can find them in the skin XML files, Moving Picures = 96742, MP-TV = 9811)

    - Go to 'Remote Controls Tab, then Click 'Map Buttons'

    - I used the Teletext buttons Yellow and Green myself.

    - Go to [Button Name] > All layers > No Condition

    - From Action check Blast IR/Macro then select your macro from the list

    I note that you are using MP2. The following applies to MP1, but I think that MP2 is identical in this situation. "TV Server Config" has a "TV Mapping" panel in the "TV Channels" section. On the "TV Mapping" tab: The left column lists the channels that have not yet been mapped to the TV tuner identified by the drop-down menu just...

    It is present, but not with that name. It is called Scheduler, viz: Interesting. I had never noticed that when the "command" is "ACTION", the "cmdproperty" is the actual window id, but it makes sense that it is. Try this for yourself. First backup your working profile for the remote, then in the "Mapping" panel make a change to...

    You can always try, select any window, turn off the Media Portal, change the ID of the selected one to the desired one (plugin) and check.
