Re: Maya: Beta release 06-02-10

I don't know, I like that edge to the left, but I think a combination of both would be very good. Though what does it look like if there are two listviews on one screen? Does one fade ionto the other? Hmm..

Anyway, if someone is interested: I made some XMLs for the Plugin MyWorldMap so that it fits Maya. Here you go.

I like the new Liststyle way better than the glossy one!

This grey glossy bar always seemed a little displaced to me. The new one is much more integrated in the whole concept.

Comparing the two images now I quite like how the list view now stands out from the rest of the page but it is the highlighting that does not seem right to me. Just wondering what the new listview would look like with the old highlighting??

Yeah, that is what i think. The new highlighting is to dark to the left and that fading out to the right... I don't know. Maybe a real combination of those two would make it perfect. Somewhat glossy like a button. And again, if there where two listviews on one screen I cannot imagine how it would look like if both are faded out ot the right. The new look only suits screens where the listview is kept on the right side of the screen.

i like the new list view too, but now the standard tv-plugin page is the only glossy-style page and therefore doesnt fit the whole new non-glossy design. will this page be changed, too?

If you mean the tv home screen you are correct. There is a brand new concept for the tvhome screen in the works.
The dialogs and menus will remain with glossy buttons.

    Hi,

    Will this be optional?

Of course without actually trying it, I can't really comment, but my gut feeling is that I won't like this. More importantly, my wife won't like it! It would be nice to have the choice, since you've already done all the work of having a nicely skinned 'my tv'.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

I am currently using the Basic Home screen and get a strange effect. The scroll of the menu seems to spin like a casino game machine. It lands on the right entry but seems a bit strange to my eyes. Does this only happen on my machine or have others noticed it as well. :D
