MP is Open Source, here you can contribute as much as you want. MP2 is a project by Team MP but has not yet been announced and not made public. Once it does and it is announced as Open Public we can all contribute. Simple as that. We should all be happy that the team make this effort an continue making this the best media center available.

i am realy wondering which thoughts are behind such posts.

because if i would i.e. start my own opensource project today and create it on sourceforge, would i commit the first 2 lines of code i have written?

or would i first work on it and commit it once i think i accomplished something which i want to share and get feedback for?

i do not understand the hurry here.

i can understand that you all are curious, but you can be sure that as soon as we have something the community can play around, we will share it.

You seem to misunderstand me, I was defending the position of the team and agree with what you and frodo are saying. I didn't mean it should be released early but when the team feel it is ready.

I'm just posting my thoughts and my point of view... and, yes, i don't have any Open Source project... why? because i don't believe in open source philosophy... for me a good example of the open source problems are here, in MP....

But, it's just my modest oppinion, i hope that it don't bother you..
