Its hooked up to an older Yamaha Receiver and if i don't use the audio renderer the sound works fine just no 5.1 or DTS everything gets down-mixed in to stereo. I can't reproduce the problem in debug mode because i only use moving pictures and it disables that not sure what to do about that one

Should be able to use the second option in the watchdog for reporting a problem to a plugin developer. I'd expect that to produce debug logs but not disable your plugins.

Device you have selected doesn't seem to support WASAPI event driven mode. Please try using Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device) (target endpoint should read: {0.0.0.00000000}.{1cefdefb-b9df-449c-b91e-aa0d60f50e18} when that device is selected).

If that doesn't help, try disabling "Use even driven mode" from MPAR config. And if that wont help then as the last resort the exclusive mode, but at tthat point it is pretty much same to use the default direct show renderer.

ps. usually those high end audio cards have had really bad WASAPI drivers, not much what can be done to solve those - especilly since I dont have any of those to test :(

OK so i switched to the computers built in sound card and it works... but with one issue now when i play a movie whether its 5.1 or not it plays the sound in 5.1 and sound will only be coming out the left, right speaker. Before it would switch back and forth depending on the source. when its not in 5.1 i can use my stereos built in movie mode to make stereo sound a little better but if it thinks its getting 5.1 it wont work

(edit I also disabled event driven mode and it works with my fancy sound card too now but still the same issue with the audio)

Did you disable the WASAPI exclusive mode as well? As that would cause the OS mixer to kick in and then it will mix the audio based on the control panel settings.

Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine. Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC? PS: You can also try to make short record

Just those I attached. I messed about with task priorities MP/TV-Server/SQL-Server and the issue changed to the skin.. I would do something, but it would be 10's of seconds before the action happened. Doing an Alt-Tab would flush the actions. Too weird lol!! So, with some flak from the family, I had to give in. I just did a...

I realize this is a (very) old thread, however, I just discovered something that may have been the problem all along, and thought you might like to know. I had a Yamaha RX-A1050 HTR receiver. About three weeks ago, I started having problems where the HDMI audio from Windows, itself (11 Pro), would not work. After multiple times of...

MP has adjustable audio delay. I don't know whether this works for all video formats, but it certainly works for TS files, and may work for MP4 files. There is a slider that allows you to adjust the audio delay while playing a video. Press the INFO button on the remote control to display the OSD, select the "Audio" icon, and then...
