Weird, while scanning it just skips all the S2 marked channels, although I have checked 'scan S2 channels'.

Is there some log file I can check?

For some reason I cannot use MP's in-house DVD player when using RC4. RC3 works fine and I have it setup the exact same way as I had it in RC3. This is with a clean install of RC4. When I go to DVD, it doesn't do anything. If I insert a DVD disk, then it will ask if I want to play DVD. If I say yes, it will attempt to play the DVD but the screen just goes black. I cannot back out of it so have to end the process of MP from task manager and start it back up. I can hear sound from the DVD, but no video. Any reason why this would happen? I'm using the latest Aeon skin. This happens with any codec, but normally I use PowerDVDs version 8. Using Vista 64-bit with EVR.

Using RC3 for now until I can find a fix for this.

If I install this, am I going to lose the log of what videos I've watched and not watched, like happened when going from RC2 -> RC3. That one is really annoying having to find which episode of a long series you'd last watched.

Maybe you can use this link to backup your database so you'll keep your movies and watched flags for it.

Found the reason why I could not scan S2 channels:
the automatically downloaded 23.5 ini file containes S2 transponder infomation which is skipped alltogether. However there is also 23.5 S2 .ini which apparently is used solely for this S2 purpose, but this file did not contain the transponder information for the HD channels I wanted to scan. Adding this information manually solved the problem.
