as you can read in this thread, downgrading to catalyst 7.2 seems t fix the problem -> driver bug (not the first one) :)

    I opened a ticket with ATI support ( http://support.ati.com/ics/support/mylogin.asp ).

Maybe if some others open a ticket with the same error they will fix it quicker...

BTW, I took the log in the first post of this tread to attach to my ticket...

This is the official answer, now had time yet to test:

    Dear customer,
    Thank you for contacting AMD.
If you are using the 7.9 version of CCC, please access the link below and install the Catalyst Control Center 7.9 hotfix:
    http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=29837
If you still have problems, please try the 7.7 version of CCC available at
    Vista 32 bits: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista32/previous/common/common-cat77-vista32.html
    Vista 64 bits: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista64/previous/common/common-cat77-vista64.html
If you still have problems, please contact us again.

    Hi all,
same problem on my system. This Bug apears since Mediaportal 0.2.3.0 RC1 with SVN 15533 an Catalyst 7.9. Mediaportal 0.2.3.0 RC1 with SVN 15517 and Catalyst 7.9 works without any problems!

    Changelog for SVN 15533:

"skinengine 14/08/2007 [18:07:54] _Frodo_ added: fixed perspective for 3d rotations
mediaportal 14/08/2007 [18:50:46] _Frodo_ added: added 3d rotation example to home-menu. it rotates 20 degrees when focused
tvengine3 14/08/2007 [21:16:59] _Frodo_ added: fixed pmt-not-found error on singapur HD channels
Audioscrobbler 14/08/2007 [23:27:33] rtv added: Updated protocol to version 1.2 (songs are submitted when ended, skips are allowed now, etc)
General 14/08/2007 [23:28:25] rtv added: cleaned up some project files"

Maybe there is a problem/bug in skinengine in combination of Catalyst 7.9 (or Catalyst above 7.2)?
Maybe somebody can confirm this issue. The next week I'm on holiday...
At this time I am using RC2 with latest SVN and Catalyst 7.2 without any Problems so far.

    bye

I think it would be interesting to see if all of us have the same result as per the ATI support email:

    Thank you for contacting AMD.
The following article describes different ways of creating a problem report for ATI Customer Care.
A problem report provides ATI with a snapshot of your system configuration, which assists in troubleshooting any technical issues that you may be experiencing.
    To create a problem report:

    • Download and install the ATI Adapter Utilities attached to the email. You will find installation instructions on this page.

    • Once the utilities are installed, browse to this default install directory, C:\ATI\SUPPORT\ATI_UTILITIES, and run the program listed as "atiiprxx.exe". Follow the prompts on the screen until finished. The problem report will be saved in a text file.
Once the report is created, please include it with your ticket submission to Customer Care.
Also, please send us a DirectX report by clicking Start > Run, enter dxdiag, click at "Save All Information" and send us the generated files.
    We'll wait for your reply.

I'm using TV2 + 0.2.3.0 RC3 and everything is working really fine. I Will verify with TV3 asap.
