not locked out.. but heck of a good reminder that we don't meet the requirements

on the requirements it states .net frame work 2.0 but I had to install .net 3.5 (in this version there a SP1 for 2.0)

after doing this.. MP was stable

thanks Dev

Hi Simone

I checked and have got the same SP3 Version2, will this be supported or should I find SP3 Version 1 and install it?

SP3 final running on both my machines. No problems ;)

    Hi,

    I've have a few channels that broadcasts multi-language in the same audio stream by putting them in a left/right channel of the stereo stream. Is this currently supported by the tvserver ?? ... Is there a setting I have missed ... it's quite annoying to have 2 languages at the sametime.

    I solved this by using Nvidia Purevideo audio codec - was quite annoying getting both swedish and finnish commentary on eurosport with another codec :)

    I have been having problems with stuttering HD-channels for a long time, and it seems pvkleeff has found the reason for this here : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/watch-edit-videos-104/problem-hd-channels-live-recordings-41173/

    Just poking around in the sourcecode, I found that H.264-video is hardcoded to 720x576 in DirectShowFilters/TsReader/source/mediaformats.h

    Since I have no problems playing the HD-recordings in Windows Media Player or watching live HDTV in FireDTV, and the graphs look exactly the same (except input resolution), I guess this must be the problem.

    I have no other serious problems with MediaPortal, but this bug annoys me since I can't watch EURO 2008 in HD :)
    I can confirm your problem Jallahman, same here..
    I referted back a couple of TvServer's (think May somewhere), and
    there the problem doesn't exist.
    (and same as with you, FireDTV etc. is fine)

    Hi,

    some posts ago I've reportet about problems with analog tv, that since the previous and the last svn release I can't scan or watch analog tv anymore. Now I've tried to reinstall filters (intervideo and original hauppauge) but nothing changed!? Ieven checked my codecs using filmerit and everything seems ok. So I reinstalled again the old svn 19288 and... it works!?! But now I'm totally confused and frustrated on what to do else, to get it working again but with the newest svn release?

    So I just want to ask if there is something else I can try? Is there a tool or something like that!? Or a decoder/filter I could try instead. Somebody any ideas :oops: ? Or shall I just wait for the next one (svn release)?

    :D in advanced and Regards

    Hi ARE 2. I have the same problem. My tv tuner is Hauppauge HVR 3000. With this SVN, I cannot scan for analog channels. If try to do a scan, the TV Server configuration does not find anything, and then I cannot switch to any other menu. I tried with a clean install - still nothing. But with the original RC1 analog scanning works fine.

    I am attaching my log files. In the TV server error log, there are many entries of the type:

    2008-06-17 23:16:03.203125 [8]: Exception :confused:ystem.Exception: No audio compressor filter found at TvLibrary.Implementations.Analog.TvCardAnalog.BuildGraph()
    Exception :No audio compressor filter found
    site :Void BuildGraph()
    source :TVLibrary
    stacktrace: at TvLibrary.Implementations.Analog.TvCardAnalog.BuildGraph()

    Similarly, in the tvservever_tv.log, I saw the following:

    2008-06-17 23:16:03.156250 [8]: analog: AddAudioCompressor name:I2S [54/1] Direction:Output Connected:False
    2008-06-17 23:16:03.171875 [8]: analog: AddAudioCompressor found:9 compressor
    2008-06-17 23:16:03.187500 [8]: analog: try compressor:MainConcept (Hauppauge) MPEG Audio Encoder
    2008-06-17 23:16:03.187500 [8]: analog: connect audio pin->audio compressor
    2008-06-17 23:16:03.203125 [8]: analog: failed to connect audio pin->audio compressor:80040217
    2008-06-17 23:16:03.203125 [8]: analog: failed to add audio compressor. you must install a supported audio encoder!

    So maybe it has something to do with the audio filter?

    Hi, just a wild guess. I have a Hauppauge PVR500. It is connected via a cable provider. What I noticed is that in the setup screen where you can scan your channels you can select either cable or antenna. When I select cable (that is how I am connected) TVserver doesn't fin't any channels, when I select antenna it finds all channels....
    hope this helps.
    kind regards,
    Ruud.
