    Hi mate,

    Good news from my side.I guess i found the probem.. It is not related with diceq...it is realated with my LOf values... Remember i told u that i use different LOF values for 7E. Since my english is not good i ll try to explain step by step..

    Here is my satellite map and their LOF values.

    1. 42E Turksat......Universal LNB
    2. 13E Hotbird......Universal LNB
    3. 7E Eutelsa W3....Lof1=12650.....Lof2=12650......LNBSW=11700

    when i try to search channels with above values Mp can find all channels on satellite..Suppose my last satellite search was 7E..... When i try to watch tv from different satellites somehow MP trying to use my modifided Lof values..i mean 12650 for lof1 and lof2...for all satellites even universal ones. Please see below logs....

    This one is from 42E LNB1

    i now understad why this problem make me confused (actually MAD) :)

    i dont know if i m doing something wron when configuring MP tv server setup interface or it is a bug.

    Now i know the problem next i have to find a solution :)

    i want to put here some screenshots for u to see what i m doing at configuration page

    lofvalues2.jpg

    lofvalues3.jpg

    And when i check Mp database i see MP only store 1 LOF values for all LNBs..
    Check below...

    ssenyer:

    I understand your explanation - it makes, perfect sense. So it seems that TV Server only stores one set of custom frequencies for all cards, rather that storing the LNB LOF for each channel (or at least for each card or satellite). I will speak to the team urgently about this...

    Ssenyer, you are NOT alone brother! I have been fighting this SAME EXACT issue for weeks that has taken me through at least 4 different reformats of the harddrive and reinstalls of either Windows 7 ultimate (x64) and XP pro, and countless numbers of uninstalling and reinstalling mediaportal 1.2 over the past 3 weeks or so.:( I too just had this revelation and finally figured that this was the problem. Before going into any detail, I want to first apologize for hijacking YOUR thread, but since we have the same problem, with virtually identical Logs, I will piggy-back in your thread.

    My issues:

    I have a Dishpro DPP44 diseqC switch that allows for 4 ports to accomidate up to 4 orbitals to serve 4 different receivers. I am running a 22khz switch (on/off) on two of the ports so that I could use 6 LNBs total. This setup works great on all of my FTA equipment for all 6 birds, but I am only trying to use 5 of them in mediaportal. Dishpro equipment uses bandstacking protocol, so I am using NA custom #1 setting, and I override the LOF values and use slightly modified satellite.ini files to get a good scan with all channels. I do two separate scans because 3 LNBs require a switch setting of "0" because they are 22khz "off" , and two LNBs are hooked to the 22khz "on". The scans yield excellent results and I find >95% of the channels.

    Setup:

    119W Level 1AA (NA Custom---overwrite) 11250 11250 LNBSW=0
    110W Level 1AB (NA Custom---overwrite) 11250 11250 LNBSW=0
    129W Level 1BA (NA Custom---overwrite) 11250 11250 LNBSW=0

    91W Level 1AA (NA Custom---overwrite) 11250 11250 LNBSW=11700
    82W Level 1AB (NA Custom---overwrite) 11250 11250 LNBSW=11700

    I normally scan 119-110-129 together, then scan 91-82 together. When I scan one group, most channels work great on all satellites with the same LNBSW. However, after scanning the second group, none of the channels would work from the first group, but the channels from the second group would work fine on all satellites using that LNBSW setting. No matter which group I scanned first, mediaportal would try to force the LOF settings of the last scanned satellite. It took me weeks to catch on the pattern :oops: that the problem was that mediaportal was trying to force the settings of the last scan. I was getting different errors (depending upon the OS)...WinXP gave more signal errors, Win7 ultimate gave more "unable to start graph" errors, but sypmtoms were identical....although the TVserver seemed to lockup and be non-responsive more often in win7.

    I had the revalation today, and made this "discovery". As a test, after scanning both satellite groups in and group 1 stopped working (as usual, channels from satellites in group 2 scan worked fine!), I started a scan on a random satellite using the same LOF settings from the non-working channels in the first group...but quickly cancelled the scan. Miraculously, channels from the first group started to work, and channels from satellite group 2 no longer worked. I then headed straight to the forum and I see your post I was like good LOrd!!!! Hopefully someone can get this fixed.

    PS> I didn't post logs because they were essentially the same as Sseyers. I could attach them if necessary.

    Hi wderbi,

    Did u check their database? i saw that they store LNBSW values at database...Can u please try to set those values manuely and try it again?

    U can use navicat software (they have a free version) for access mysql database.. Do not forget default username: root, password: MediaPortal (case sensetive), hostname: localhost or 127.0.0.1, port 3306

    When u connect to db, use mptvdb database
    and tuningdetail table....

    There is a cloumn named switching Frequency....i guess it is what r u looking for...

    Hi again,

    i created 2 bat files to change LOF values at database, then i assign 2 remote buttons to execute those files with my remote with IRSS. it works now ...i know it is not very good solution but any solutuon better then none :)

    Now when i want to watch Universal LNB i press * button on my remote then irss execute universal.bat file, and universal.bat file change LOF values at database. When i watch to 7E (which requares modified LNB lof values) i press # at my remote then irss execute modified.bat and it change LOF values at database....

    it works..i can use it untill MP developers prepare a patch for it..But i m not sure if my wife will refuse to use it and force me to put Dreambox back or not :)

    @vderbi...mate please try my first suggestion..if it is not work u can modifiy my bat files and u can use those also. If u need my help just drop a message at this thread. i ll be around until monday...then i have to go for a business trip 1 week...i m not sure if i will have internet at there or not.

    Opss..system do not accept bat files as attachments..

    here is modified.bat (location c:\)

    Code:
    @echo off
    cd C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin\
    mysql.exe -uroot -pMediaPortal < c:\12650.txt

    here is universal.bat (location c:\)

    Code:
    @echo off
    cd C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin\
    mysql.exe -uroot -pMediaPortal < c:\11700.txt

    here is the 11700.txt (location c:\)

    Code:
    use mptvdb;
    update setting set value='9650' where tag='LnbLowFrequency';
    update setting set value='10600' where tag='LnbHighFrequency';

    here is 12650.txt (location c:\)

    Code:
    use mptvdb;
    update setting set value='12650' where tag='LnbLowFrequency';

    Ssenyer, I connected to the database using Mysql Administrator (which is something I added to my system while trying to trouble shoot this issue a couple of weeks ago). I went to the tuningdetail and switching frequency table as you suggested, but I have no idea what to do next...I know its a lot of work, but could you tell me exactly what to do? If I click on "edit table" tab, I get to a screen I will try to attach, but I don't see the values...at least I am not understanding what I am looking at!:confused:

    tuningdetail.jpg

    What do I do next?

    Thanks!

    Hi mate,

    Do not edit anything at there..it shows you the stracture of table..PLEASE DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING.

    Use navicat instead..i add a screenshot to give you an idea about how it looks like.

    OK...I will head upstairs and play with navicat in a few minutes....I guessMySQL Administrator is not quite the same thing. I will post results.

    Good job on the batch file mod!!!! I am not on that level of expertise yet! Also, I don't have a remote yet...I am still trying to get it working correctly first before investing in a remote control. LOL...I am still trying to figure out how to "grab" the epg!!!

    OK, After deleting all channels and starting with two fresh scans (119-110-129 LNBSW=0; then 91 82 LNBSW=11700), I did some testing. I did navicat download and went into tuning details. As expected, the database shows the LNBSW frequency as being the same for ALL channels, even if they were scanned in at a different LNBSW than was shown.

    Example:

    All of these SIDs were scanned in first using an LNBSW=0

    CopyofSIDsat0redo.jpg

    All of these SIDs were part of a second scan using LNBSW=11700 (for 22khz on)

    SIDsat11700.jpg

    Notice that they all show the value of 11700, and none of the first scanned group worked (Nosignaldetected error)...but all from the second scan worked. I manually changed the LNBSW values to "0" in navicat for a few of the channels, but surprisingly---it did not fix those channels! :mad: To be sure, I double-checked in navicat, and the values of 0 was still there for those select 3 channels that I manually changed.

    Next, I started a scan on a random satellite using the LNBSW=0 override and quickly stopped the scan. Now, all channels from group 1 scan (LNBSW=0) is working, but group 2 scan (LNBSW=11700) did not. I opened navicat and checked the LNBSW values, and they had NOT changed; all were still showing 11700 for LNBSW value, except for those that I had manually changed to 0.

    It looks like I have to initiate a scan with the LNBSW credentials being the same as the channels scanned in on that LNBSW value for those channels to work....what do I try now?

    Hi again folks

    So far as I can tell, the "switchingFrequency" column that you found won't have any effect at all. It appears to be left over from older versions of MediaPortal that supported custom LNB LOFs per channel (don't ask me why the feature was removed!). The only ways to set the switch frequency that is used in tuning (for turning 22kHz on or off) are:

    1. To select the appropriate "band" (LNB type) in the scanning section when you scan for the channel.
    2. To use the overrides which you've already found are not ideal.

    I apologise for the annoyance this must be causing. I have always used custom frequencies myself but have never had any problem since all my LNBs use the same custom LOFs and switching frequency. I have raised the issue with the team and I will get back to you as soon as I have any more news on this issue.
