Mediaportal with uncommitted Disceq (1 Viewer)

Hi,

How can i configure my "uncommitted disceq" for working with mediaportal? i made it work with Dvb dream with some hex codes, but no idea if it is possibble to do it with mediaportal or not?

Hi there

What kind of card is it? DiSEqC is only supported with some tuners.
If it is supported then you only need to select the correct DiSEqC port (no hex required!) along with the rest of your scanning parameters in TV Server configuration when you scan for channels.

Level1AA = Port 1 / Port A
Level1AB = Port 2 / Port B
Level1BA = Port 3 / Port C
Level1BB = Port 4 / Port D

Card Specifications:

DVB-S2 8PSK/NBC QPSK: 2 – 33.6 Msps

* QPSK Puncture codes: 1/2,3/5,2/3,3/4,4/5,5/6,8/9,9/10.

* Support DiSEqC2.0 and Rotor


And i did already what u said. but in that way i only able to use 1 satellite. I did not found any way to use my 3 satellites.

Here is my satellite map:

AA--->42E Turksat
AB--->13E Hotbird
BA--->7E Eutelsat W3

Then i search for internet for a solution and i found hex codes for disceq. Then i use that hex codes in DVB Dream software and all satellites start working without problem.

Here is the hex codes:

AA---->E0 10 39 F0
AB---->E0 10 39 F1
BA---->E0 10 39 F2

Sorry, I missed that you were using ***uncommitted*** commands. MediaPortal doesn't yet support uncommitted commands, but it shouldn't be hard to create a patch for you to use until support can be added as long as your tuner itself is supported. Can you please try two things:

1. In DVB Dream, try and see if the ***committed*** commands would also work. The committed commands would be:

E0 10 38 F0 = 42E Turksat
E0 10 38 F4 = 13E Hotbird
E0 10 38 F8 = 7E Eutelsat W3

2. Post your tv.log file.

The code patch that you found is unlikely to help since it is mostly a big tidy up. There are some improvements for Blackgold/Pinnacle cards but none for TBS/ProfRed cards so it is very unlikely to help you...

It seems strange to me that committed and uncommitted commands work fine in DVB Dream and nothing works in MediaPortal. Your logs show 2 successful tunings on two different DiSEqC ports (the failed tuning was for a scrambled channel).

Are you using the latest TBS drivers (2.x.x.x)?
How many ports does your switch have?

Hi,

i m using lastest TBS driver which is 2.0.0.14 for now. When i wrote this issues lastest driver was 2.0.0.8 and i was use that one. After upgrading to 2.0.0.14 (also i change my OS from win7 ultimate X64 to Win7 ultimate X86) i can switch LNB 2 to LNB3 or vice versa...but no change to switch to LNB1.

My switch have 32 outputs...

There is no need to reinstall your OS. I think something much simpler is wrong.

Cody is correct, although I don't have hardware to test with which makes it difficult. Also the API that is used for TBS support is shared for supporting ProfRed. It may be that there are some slight differences between TBS and ProfRed cards that aren't being handled properly. I will look at the API and check our code tonight (I'm at work at the moment)...

In the meantime, can you please post TV Server logs for attempting to tune/scan one channel/transponder on port 1, one channel/transponder on port 2, and one channel/transponder on port 3. I want to see what hex commands TV Server is actually sending to the switch. If the hex commands are wrong then it should be simple to fix the problem...

Also, regarding your switch: I meant how many *input* ports does it have?

Firstly i want to thank u for your support,

As u know that i reinstalled my OS. Then i tried to scan all Satellites... It was succesfull.. All Satellites scanned without problem like last time. Then As u wish i tried to change channels from 1 satellite to other. Logs attached. At this tieme LNB 1 and 2 worked but no LNB3..It is really weard since last time LNB 2 and 3 was worked but no LNB1.


HERE is my multiswitch

They call it 2+1 multiswitch..Since DIGITURK (one of the most popular provider in TURKEY) using special LNB's. They call it MDU LNB. And as i remember that those LNB's have 3 different LOF values. 2+1 mean 2 universal+1 MDU =digiturk= i guess)

As a note since the LNB i have for Eutelsat W3 is not a universal LNB i changed its LOF volues to 12650 in MP (i have no idea if it make sence or not) and with that value any dvb software can search that satellite (i also have 1 Dreambox 600+ 1 dreambox 800HD and using same Lof values in that devices with success)
