    Hi,
unfortunately I never got my irtrans display (USB, VFD) working. All I get is "welcome in Mediacenter" but that's all.
I installed all latest drivers incl. the plugins. Do I need to install LCDHype additionally?

It all worked great with the "old" Plugin of 0.2.3, whithout additional software, so I am wondering what I am doing wrong.

    cheers

e.g. I'm looking to configure the basic home page to display the section I'm on (i.e. it should say 'Watch Your TV' rather than 'Basic Home')

Use Blue3Wide and u will see it's already working, just in case,u are using StreamedMP skin right now?

Yes, is it working on Blue then - can I splice XML from one to the other for this ?

Antec iMon 6.2 is here : RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

I don't think u can swap XMLs files between skins to make this work, but i posted about it in the SreamedMP thread so keep an eye on this: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/streamedmp-301/imon-ultrabay-selected-item-basichome-55435/#post383100

I'm having a strange problem here's my system:

    GA-MA74GM-S2 Motherboard
    BE-2400 Processor @ stock speed
    4GB Crucial 6400 DDR2 Memory (v1.8)
Antec Fusion Black Enclosure with stock LCD/IR Receiver
    Antec Earthwatts 430W PSU
Western Digital GP 500GB drive with AAM tweaked so drive isn't audible
Sapphire HD 4670 (new GDDR4 version)
Windows XP SP3 Corporate fully updated
    ATI CCC 8.12 Drivers
    MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-02-10-2009 15-53h - Revision: 21688
Latest SAF filter pack with default settings
    Latest MovingPictures Plugin
    My TVSeries Plugin v2.1.3331
    Latest IR Server Suite 1.4.2
    Latest StreamedMP skin

All fed by an UnRaid based media server over a gigabit network.

So here's the problem... everything has been going as close to smooth as I could have hoped so far except one thing... the LCD (of course as if there isn't any problems with the one that comes with this case). It displays perfectly fine etc. but when I stop a video/film and go back into the MediaPortal menus I will get a crash. If I just let the movie run and go back to the menu's it will be fine. It's when I issue the stop command is when it happens.

I have trouble shooted down to it definitely being related to the Mini Display plugin because when I turn off the plugin I no longer get the crashes. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this so I can start to use the LCD again?

Hi, also have a problem with my configuration. I am using a Thermaltake DH101 case, with an inbuilt Soundgraph VFD. Don't know which firmware, cause i don't know where i have to check this. ;-) My imon sw is 7.40.0806.
My remote is a Logitech 885. First i configured it as a MCE remote, but, like you know, there is no way to get the Logitech AND the VFD to run.
So, my second config is as a imon pad. Without the minidisplay plugin i have the double click thing. Don't know why it appears.
Now i want to use the remote and the VFD at the same time. I changed the frontview to never, and enabled the minidisplay plugin in the MP config. My settings in the plugin:
Soundgraph iMon USB VFD/LCD plugin v12_01_2008
    Port: USB
    Turn off display on exit
    - if i click on "test display" nothing happens - mistake? i think that the display has to start????

    advanced tab:
    display type VFD

after setting it up like this, the remote does not work within MP.

    Can you help me?

ps: the display never displays any thing, it runs (blue), but never shows ony a word :( perhaps there is mistake with the internal usb?

    thanks for your help, chris

Try turning of the EQ setting in MiniDisplay config. There is another thread out there that talks about this. It sucks to not see the EQ, but it's better than crashing.

I have the same case, problem. I got it to work, by having imon run the remote control. You have to add program settings for MP in the imon config. If you search the forum, you'll find the mapping file. With this setup, my remote always works and the display works 9 of 10 restarts. If you have IRSS running you need to uncheck, the imon as an enabled device. Basically, the imon program gets the remote signals, then sends the keyboard input to MP. By the way, my display only works if I have imon frontview set to always. MP disables frontview on start, so there is no conflict.

I configured the program settings in imon. So without minidisplay plugin it works (with double press issue). I just get the display not to work. I donÄt know where the mistake is. Perhaps in the internal connection of the usb? The display appears blue, but there was never only one word on it to read. No welcome, no other thing.
What is the IRSS you mentioned? Where can i uncheck this? Sorry, but with this i am a newbie. :) I am on it right now for about 3 hours. :(

edit: IRSS is another software, right? I have not installed it seperately, so i think this will not cause the problem.

If you don't have Irss installed no need to worry about that. try this:

    1. MP off
    2. set imon front view to always, set it to auto and just activate the one of the screens - like city or system information. if you don't get anything on the screen, you probably have a hookup problem.
    3. If the screen is working, start MP config. leave frontview running. go into minidisplay, you can leave the front page at defaults. goto advanced.
    4. select restart frontview on exit and ensure is running before driver start. I have all the disk icon stuff checked along with the large icons and bars. leave the right side unchecked for now.
    5. push ok on the advanced screen, now push test. the screen should stop scrolling whatever frontview has on. and display the test message.
    6. press it a few times before you give up.
    7. if you get nothing, check extensive logging, change log level to debug under MP general config and test a few more times --post your logs.

    .

Thanks for this. I think like you write in 2. i have a hookup problem or something else as a basic. If i do it like this the display is "on", but i can see nothing. Do you know what i can do against hookup? Perhaps the font, the scrolling, the backlight or the contrast is wrong? how can i "reset" the display? :( hope so much that you can help me :)
