    Hi.

In movienight site there is some changes in stream technology, i guess,
because for some videos, like star wars, epsiode 5, there is only short video played, which states
    this:

Hm, I did fix that, or so I thought...
Seems that I fixed it indeed, and published it, but forgot to commit the changes to github.
Guess you (or someone else) compiled it from the latest source as the normal update won't probably work until the OV release.

But on closer inspection, these changes aren't enough for this movie. (Some others do work)
    So, stay tuned, I'll investigate

Edit: It seems that this movie isn't playable on the website, is that true at your end too?

    Yes.

That is true. It looks like file hoster site is dead/abandoned.

    Thanks for looking.

Hi, First off: there are some issues with the latest Mediaportal (32bits vs 64bits), so that is one of the issues you're stumbling with. That was it! :) I had to set it to "Maintain display scaling". I think it was set to "Maintain Aspect Ratio", which added black bars to MediaPortal when playing videos that didn't conform to a strict 16:9 ratio, I suppose. Thanks to everyone for the patience and help, I can finally enjoy videos fully.

    MP1 MP2 MP2 - V2.5 Trailer plugin DE
Maybe the wording “plugin” is misleading, because almost every feature in MP2 is basically a plugin. This allows to even exchange core elements easily. Short: Of course it can be also a feature as part of the installer, means integrated for the user.
