Re: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 2 Available

Ok, I see that FilmAffinity.com/es/ is used to get the Spanish movie details, so since I've gained a little scraper experience I'll see if I create an imdb.es version. I'll compare a few movies to see if imdb.es provides the same detailed information as FilmAffinity does, and otherwise will create a modified FA scraper that also scans imdb.es for the IMDb ID code. This will mean extra delays in scraping, so it will become a seperate scraper (and it will be up to the MovPic developers to decide on what to make default).

Expect me to need a few days to make this though, as I'm busy with work, so would have to look at it when I'm waiting on compiler.

Ohhh thanks, that will be perfect with artwork working this plugin its the best of Mediaportal.

Another question, now I have notice that since I installed moving pictures 1.0 beta 2 , sometimes when I try shut down or exit, Mediaportal is not killed
and it keeps active. that is preventing also to shut down PC from Mediaportal menu. Not sure if is Moving pictures but it happens more or less since
    I installed.

    Thanks.

run the logs collector, view the logs just after you encounter this problem. the logs should tell you what is preventing standby. it wont be too complicated to read the logs, and they are time stamped so no need to read the entire log file.

Re: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 2 Available

With editing each movie manually to add "Stand-up" as a new genre, the Moving Picture plugin will take care of the rest. With the menu items you could create filters based on a mixture of conditions. Perhaps you place all the stand-up titles in a folder, so you can create a filter that says 'Filename' + 'contains' + 'foldername containing stand-up\'.

A mixed filter of 'Genre' + 'equals' + 'Comedy' and 'Actor Count' + 'is less then' + '2' would also filter out all the stand-ups, because they usually have only 1 actor listing, however I do not believe there is a way to count the amount of Actors right now, so that might be an idea to suggest as enhancement.

I really like this idea, and want to have a seperate menu item for both stand-up and music concerts. I haven't managed to get them to show up yet (but will with time I'm sure), but I'd like to know whether there is a way to get these movies that appear under these extra menu items to NOT show up in the normal genre menu?

So for example, standup will appear under the new stand-up menu item, but will also appear under the comedy section of the genres menu item. I understand that I can delete the comedy tag for each one, but can I select a folder NOT to add movies from? Or some other way?

Yes, you can edit the filter(s) for the Genre(s) that you do not want to list the movies again, to exclude the same filter(s) you generated for the custom Stand-Up genre. It can however lead to headaches (there is a bug in the filtering when using complex methods like this, that I'm trying to report)... Now if you are able to use a single filter, such as 'Filename' + 'contains' + 'foldername containing stand-up\' then it will work, simply edit all the other filters to have 'Filename' + 'does not contain' + 'foldername containing stand-up\' (alongside the existing filter rule with 'all').

I've used that method myself with success before.

to get them to not show up in the other categories/nodes just add a "path does not contain..." rule.

Incase you both are only subscribed to this thread, here you go: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...scraper-filmaffinity-com-imdb-es-bonus-75348/

I'll rely on you both to test it for me and find any problems if they exist (which I am sure they will).

You would have to provide debug logs in a seperate thread, so that not just me, but others as well can examine them in detail to pinpoint the problem.

fforde, could this be considered a bug? ... in the movie importer screen, it is possible to approve a movie where no "possible matches" have been found. so you get an entry in the database with all fields empty.

    That's not a bug, it is a feature :D

It allows you to add a blank entry so you got full control to edit it. It is not like imdb.com or any other website is going to have an entry for your homemade videos, so this way you still have the ability then to add all your own data.

So you probably clicked on the icon that represents this action.
