Re: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 2 Available

guy's don't know if you can help but when using the default view the title and summary start at the top of the cover art not half way down. this is covering up most of the fanart. Any idea's? See my post here for a look at my screen shot

Looks like you have a bad setup (missing overlay), try copying the skin files again and delete your skin cache for good measure.

Re: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 2 Available

I am having an install problem. Every time I try to install I receive the following error: "Please shutdown media portal...". I have exited media portal, checked the task manager for any media portal related applications. I changed my media portal configuration to not run at startup and restarted with the same error. I tried running in safe mode with network support and still the same error. The application name I am running is Moving Pictures-1.0.1-setup.exe. I am running Media Portal version 1.0.2.0. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You

    Scott

On a new note. I was able to install the latest stable release and WOW!!! This is exactly what I have always wanted media portal to be. Contributions on their way. :D

Another installation question that I have not seen (or missed) in the user guide or any of the previous posts...does installing this version over a previous version retain the database info from the previous version? A number of my films have customized fanart, coverart, and several required special searches to direct the scraper so I would like to avoid a rescan of my movies.

I'd like to make a feature requests for being able to export your filter settings.
Would be handy when rolling it out on multiple systems.

Yes everything is retained when upgrading, there will be a couple upgrade tasks when first starting e.g. collection of MediaInfo to display logos (Can take a little while depending on collection size). Other than that, everything should be pretty smooth.

Indeed, even sharing them. I spent over an hour creating a BoxSets collection category which I dont want to loose :)
