Re: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 2 Available

Thank you very very much for this fantastic beta version. I was waiting for a configurable release like that to have my movie collection just like a want.
But now just to be simply perfect, some spanish people could tell me the exactly configuration to have the movie info in spanish but also with fanart working. I mean if I use the spanish script I get the movie info just in spanish but only the cover is shown. No fanart or backdrops or whatever you named are shown. If i first download movieinfo with an english script I get the coverart but also get fantastic backdrops or fanart. Then I rescan the movie with spanish script and the fanart is still there but doing that way is alot of work.

Anyone can help me with that???

Thank sin advance and congratulations for that great plugin.

I have the same problem, i get all the movie info but no covers and stuff.

Its a pain to have to add covers manually.

If i find a solution i will report.

    There are multiple ways.

The default genres are build dynamically, meaning they are based off from the Genres that imdb.com (or the scraper that found the match) assigns. So you could manually edit each stand-up movie to add your own Genre "|existing ones|Stand-up|" and then the dynamic system will automatically add that genre in the listing.

You can also convert the dynamic Genre filter over to a non-dynamic one, so you can manually add "Stand-up" to the list and assign what movies you want to add. The problem with this is that no new Genres will be added auto in the future. The only benefit to this method is that you have full control over the Genres and could mix things up more, for example combine Action and Adventure genres.

Or create a brand new menu item (even shown in main index) that you put all the Stand-up ones in.

With editing each movie manually to add "Stand-up" as a new genre, the Moving Picture plugin will take care of the rest. With the menu items you could create filters based on a mixture of conditions. Perhaps you place all the stand-up titles in a folder, so you can create a filter that says 'Filename' + 'contains' + 'foldername containing stand-up\'.

A mixed filter of 'Genre' + 'equals' + 'Comedy' and 'Actor Count' + 'is less then' + '2' would also filter out all the stand-ups, because they usually have only 1 actor listing, however I do not believe there is a way to count the amount of Actors right now, so that might be an idea to suggest as enhancement.

I have the same problem, i get all the movie info but no covers and stuff.

After a movie gets 'found' on your Spanish scraper, does it fill in the imdb ID (the tt.... number) when you verify the movie details inside Moving Pictures configuration? That movie-id is needed for a proper download of all the other missing information.

No. There is no tt..... number in movies found on Spanish scraper. In the other hand all movies found first with english scraper has a tt... number.
If I fill the tt... number manually the artwork appears, but my movie collection is too big to do that
What can we do to resolve this.

    thanks.

The Spanish scraper code will have to be modified so that the number gets saved. I'll have a look at it and see what I can come up with.

Re: Moving Pictures 1.0 Beta 2 Available

Ok, I see that FilmAffinity.com/es/ is used to get the Spanish movie details, so since I've gained a little scraper experience I'll see if I create an imdb.es version. I'll compare a few movies to see if imdb.es provides the same detailed information as FilmAffinity does, and otherwise will create a modified FA scraper that also scans imdb.es for the IMDb ID code. This will mean extra delays in scraping, so it will become a seperate scraper (and it will be up to the MovPic developers to decide on what to make default).

Expect me to need a few days to make this though, as I'm busy with work, so would have to look at it when I'm waiting on compiler.
