Is there any way to rename Moving Pictures on the main menu?
I think the name isn't bad, but I'd much rather have it be named something more obvious, like movies.

No, not in normal home. If you know how to edit xml's you can add moving pictures to basichome and have it display whatever name you want.

edit: I was to slow :p

Thats a good point though, on the basichome screen it is totally up to the skinner.

Tried this out yesterday.
Awesome plugin.

I had a few issues that I thought I should report and a few suggestions
- I had one movie that would not detect even after I typed in a name to search on multiple times. The movie's name is "The Assassination of Jessie James".
- All of my movies are in separate directories. I had a number of instances where a I had multiple files in a single directory and they dected as multiple movies rather than two parts of a single movie (I had a lot that did detect correctly however)
- I run a multiseat mediaportal network where I have a client/server machine and a server machine. In most plugins (Like TV-Series) there is a path to set the database location (which I can then set to the shared path on the server). I was not able to find this option?

Suggestions:
- An option to force files in a single directory to be linked to a single movie
- An option to specify database location
- An option to bind a keypress (if this does not already exist??) that, if pressed, will take me directly to the "Moving Pictures" plugin gui. eg. im in My Tv and press the button and I jump to Moving Pictures
- As discussed above, an option to name "Moving Pictures" to an alternative item

Overall, awesome plugin that is going to remain an integral part of my mediacentre/s.
:)

Can you give me details on how the folder + files were named (exactly)? This could give me an idea on why the grouping failed.

    Movies
    |- A-C
    | |- xxxx
    | |- xxxx
    | |- Cars (Which contains two movie files)
    | - D-F
    | - G-J
    etc etc

I had 5 or 6 movies that this occurred on. One was Cars and one was Pirates of the Carribean At Worlds End.
Ill screenshot it when I get home this arvo so you have the exact details but basically it is like this.

Ok thank you.. these aren't currently matched by the grouper indeed... (cars would if you remove the 0 from the filenames, and pirates also if there wasnt a number before the a/b). I will see if i can make them match without creating false grouping for other filenames but this is on the edge as some names are just too ambigious.

What do you think is the better action to have as a user... manually split the movie files or join them? :)
