I would be interested what was done in the patch. My MP crashes sometimes on resume. It seems that the systems "survives" a few re-starts after shutdown (idle) or because I turned it off or after recordings. But if there are too may, there is a crash. Would the patch help me, too?

So this indicates the problem must be introduced by the changes in the madVR branch, right?
...because MP 1.16 PR doesn't crash, and neither does MP 1.16 tip/master/latest.
Agreed, I will give it another day just to be sure but it looks like @Sebastiii probably needs to check out that last failure in the logs.;)

All still OK, no crash on resume here today, so looking pretty conclusive that my problem is specific to the Madvr test branch, I will raise it again in that thread.

BTW I have noted an entirely different problem with the std. MP 1.16pr but it seems to be fixed in the latest Madvr test version, since I have no idea what may get merged into the final release, let me know if you are interested and where to report it.

Okay. Please note that the standard log files you've been providing are not going to be enough to track down the source of the problem. To sort this out, Sebastiii will need to connect to your system and/or provide a patch with additional debug.

If in doubt, always report. :)
The worst that can happen is we will say "thanks, but that's already fixed".

Please report it using standard procedures. So, post a thread in the appropriate forum section with log files etc.

Updating this because although I never saw this problem weith 1.16pr it continued to be an intermittent issue with the Madvr testing branch.
As of yesterday I did a full MP uninstall and then installed M;P 1.16 final, this morning around 12 I woke it up and again got an MP crash.:(
    Logs attached

And again this morning when I woke it up at about 11:45.:(
Any pointers to what might be causing this would be much appreciated.

In my opinion there's no point providing new log files. The log files all show the same thing. What's needed is new information.

When you have the problem, does MP crash spontaneously?
In other words: you press the power button on your remote control or PC case to wake the system and MP just crashes.

...or does the problem happen after some interaction?
For example, the system resumes successfully, but MP crashes as soon as you try to navigate.

I ask this because two team members have reported problems with MP occasionally crashing after resume when they first try to navigate/interact with MP. We've found that their problem is related to GUI sounds. If they disable GUI sounds they never encounter problems. I'm wondering whether your problem might be similar.

Would you be willing to install a debugger and allow a developer to connect to your system to gather more specific information about the source of the problem?
Right now all we know is that the crash is caused by a call to some function in ntdll.dll... but this is almost useless information because ntdll.dll is part of the operating system, and we can't trace it back to an issue within MediaPortal. A debugger would enable us to trace the problem to it's true source in MediaPortal.
