[solved] MPTvScheduler - Android client for MediaPortal and TvServer (3 Viewers)

Hi,

This is an Android client for MediaPortal. The interface is the MPExtended Service 0.6.0 Beta10.

If you use MP2 please install the MPExtended Service 0.6.0 Beta10 from here.

I suggest for the Windows 64 bit users to replace the in-built 32 bit ffmpeg to 64 bit from ffmpeg-4.0.2-win64-static.zip for better performance.
The ffmpeg is in c:\Program Files (x86)\MPExtended\Service\Streaming\ffmpeg.exe The updating of the MPExtended will overwrite the ffmpeg so need to replace again.

Here are some screen shots:

Advanced functions for premium users:

• PIP in the internal player. You can view two channels at same time.
• Mini TV guide in the internal player (similar to MediaPortal mini TV guide).
• You can switch channel without leaving the internal player.
• Android 8 PIP function. Watch TV and read your mails at same time.
• Add/remove songs to music playlists.
• Zoom function in picture viewer.
• Advanced TV server functions: shutdown, restart, stand by TV server.
• No ads.

Please try the attached StreamingProfiles.xml and use one of the SD or HD profiles.

The app is available on the Google Play Store.

Seems to work well, nice work.
Just a few points:

• I haven't tested recording features yet.
• Is pulling the epg correctly.
• Search works.

Whats the purpose of the tv icon? is this to live stream? I get no response when pressing it.

Note: I am using MP 1.15.0 and MPExtended 0.6.0

Whats the purpose of the tv icon?

It depends on screen. When you are in EPG/program screen it starts live tv. When you are in recordings screen it start the recording of course.

Sorry to confuse you. I have an another MPExtended 0.6.0 so it may be not 100% compatible. The official 0.6.0 was never released so I continued to work on 0.5.4.

I get no response when pressing it.

I deleted your attachment because you uploaded some sensitive informations.

I did not find any reason why the stream closing after starting. Have you got MX Player on the phone? Can you try to use that?

MX was the trick. Works with no issues now. I will have a bit more of a play and let you know.

Ok so I have tested some more.

I am able to create recordings and delete scheduled recordings from the EPG. When viewing schedule though there is no option to delete the scheduled recording, you need to go all the back to epg and locate the program.

Also just discovered the search button on recordings thats a neat trick to swiftly search epg for upcoming episodes. Awesome feature I will use heaps.
