Have a look at the below post, cannot remember seeing anyones system specs which show these being installed on this forum.

The Green Button - Two Black Gold tuners in Vista?

obviously they are talking about Vista, but to me they are already outdated\unsupported technology, but when you say cheap might be worth a go as you are running xp.

For multiple DVB tuners, i think i would go for dual tuners, as at least you know the drivers are designed to play nicely with each other.

    Pinnacle Dual DVB-T (pci)
Hauppauge T500 (2x usb on pci board)
    Terratec Cinergy 2400i (pci-e)

These all have single aerial inputs, so one connection.

Remember if using TVE3, you can record every program on a single transponder at same time, would you really want more than 2 dvb-t cards.

That why i am saving for the 6in1 so i can get freesat as well.

They are like £9.99 each but if i cant get more than 1 or 2 to play fair together then its not worth bothering.
Also can you explain what you mean by recording more than 1 channel on the same transponder. Ive heard i mentioned a lot but i thought is was just for dvb-s cards.

Recording 2 tv show Heartbeat ITV3 and Relic Hunter Sky Three, both showing as timeshifting.

Everything you see in EPG that is shown in white is available to watch\record, in blue it is not, as they are being broadcast on different transponders.

E4 ITV2 and E4+1 ITV2+1 are on seperate transponders so again, what may not be able to record on ITV2, may be available on ITV2+1 an hour later, even though you still have 2 ongoing recordings covering that time period.

So you could in theory have 12 recordings\viewings at once from 2 cards.

List of Channels and there relevent mux

Is that epg from mediaportal or some other third party program?

That's the Now\Next EPG from freeview OTA via my hauppauge card, .

BTW the icon's for TV\Radio channels are here , and they need to go in c:\program files\team-mediaportal\mediaportal\thumbs and put in there relative logo's folder (unzipped of course).

these are the main EPG available from the MCE remote i button, this is using the xface skin.

I currently have two Quatros running, one connect, one duo using OTA antennae, mostly UHF fringe area, mostly cat5 local network. Hauppauge card retired long ago. I have also retired very early SD units, the Quatros seem to work much better than the older units. Go to SD's support website and download and install the windows...

The reason I was thinking I needed more RAM is that TV now seems to be HiDef and so the files have grown. I edit the files before storing them, to reduce some size. It is finding that slower, I think. Or it could just be because I'm expecting more? The Baseboard manufacturer says ASUSTech Computer Inc; Baseboard product P7P55D-E...
