I can't delete or rename the file!
You need to have administrator access to delete it. I have just tried and then ran a new scrape to pull all artists through again although it hasn't fixed the problem, it has re-imported my artists but will still not scrape fanart. Starting to bug me now lol

It says it's open in another program.
Have you got configuration open? Kill all MP processes then try again. Although I don't think deleting the DB will fix the problem - it didn't for me anyway...
I have a few hundred Music and Video files on the server/client
When I tray to run Fanart within the client config and do a scan, it does not find anything.

I don't think I will waste my time trying to delete the database if it didn't fix the problem.

Well I have just read another post where someone has imported fanart recently, so now I'm wondering if this is an isolated issue or if they were just updating rather than starting from scratch? I have just tried again, it will pull fanart for both mp-tvseries and MovingPictures just nothing for Music!
