@totopsgr, I advise you remove it. Then after copying across latest dll enter restrictions and repeat to tick any non-movies from your list. Hopefully this time it should remember which ones and when Trakt does a sync it should only sync the real movies.

Please attach logs afterwards if still problems with syncing.

MyFilms 5.0.3 RC 1a was just released!

Main changes since RC1:
- enhancements and fixes for local fanart creation handling
- updated Trakt API to support more use cases (requires updated Trakt plugin)
- updated installer package (and build process)
- fixes for the reported issues

Detailed Change log can be found on release post.

It would be nice, if missing language updates could be added before publishing V5 final version.

I'm getting a .NET Framework error when attempting to install the latest version of MyFilms (v.5.0.3.1437) on MP 1.2.0_RC. The initial message is "Root element is missing." I have attached a .txt of the details. Do you still need all of the other logs/.xml files or is this something different? Let me know and I will upload everything else in a bit.

yes, please upload logs and config - if possible, also DB (or at least part of it) - so I can look into logs.
Did you update (from 4.x or 5.x?) or make new install?
When exactly do you get this error?
Well, let me first look into logs, should answer most questions I hope.

HOLD OFF on everything. I am doing a clean install. I think there might be something wrong with the entire installation. I am having similar troubles with other plugins and with MP cutting out completely.

I will let you know what happens and if I still am having problems.

Hi,

so the .net error hint matches the content of your MyFilms.xml config file - that is corrupted.
Never have seen that before - but it is of course possible, if your PC freezes at the moment, the config is written.

Beside your general problems, you should be able to "solve" that by just deleting your MyFilms.xml config file (plugin should create a new one when restarting) - or restore a backup of that one.
At least for testing I'd suggest to create a new config, it takes only a minute using the "wizard".

I also proceeded in installing the updated plugging you published, both my films and trakt (or shouldn't have I? They say if it's not broken not fix it). As a result I got myself int a problem, everything looks fine till I try to select a movie from the recommended movies list of Trakt. Then I get a media portal crash (like I did in the past before you fixed my problem)

Shall I try to revert to my previous situation? if I now log into tract configuration and go to see my excluded movies list it appears empty (blank no entries at all, can't select or deselect anything)

Any advice?

sorry you got problems again.
Please post logs, that should show us the reason of the crash.
I still have the test setup here with the DB you posted before - and I get both, the movie list in trakt plugin and jumping to recommended movie works too.
Did you edit/update your EAX catalog before? (Asking, because MyFilms will then rebuild internal data structures - maybe there is a timing problem)

Doing the update was fine and despite the fact you have some hassle now, it is good to know about it, so we can solve it.
We had to make some structural changes that were required due to the many different use cases MyFilms/Trakt combination supports.
So now it's "They say: If it's broken, fix it"...
