Sorry to be a pain but it doesn't seem to be working mate. But it's a different problem now .
When opening videos in any DB view the context menu appears immediately (and works) but no movies appear regardless of whether pin protection is enabled on any folder or not. There is a spinning "loading" circle but that's it.
I'm testing on a PC at work so it's a different system from last night. Hope I've not missed anything. Don't want to waste your time.
Finally got the video library to load with the latest patch. I was testing with svn 28036 and for some reason applying the patch and installing over the top of my existing install was causing my problem.
In the end I built 28036 without the patch and installed. Then patched, re-built and installed over the top and it seemed to work
However, I'm now back to the same situation. Locked content doesn't display after entering the pin. As before the context menu option changes from "unlock" to "lock" but the titles just don't show up.
Really not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Sorry
Log file attached. Also "Before", "During" and "After" screencaps.
I just can't get it why code on your system produce directory variable with extra path where movie is (Directory:'\\WHSERVER\Movies\Avatar - 2009' )
I will change string compare from "equal" to "exists" and I think it will work but I need to see implication of that if something can slip through. Let's keep fingers crossed .
No. That's not how my test environment is configured mate.
To clarify this is how I have things set up.
I have two separate video folders.
1. Movies
2. Kids Movies.
These folders are two individual shares on a WHS (see attached shares.jpg).
In MP Configuration I have each of these shares configured as a video folder (see attached MPVideoFolders.jpg)
I've re-built my DB by scanning the two video folders (see attached MPVideoDB.jpg) and the DB works fine.
For testing a apply a PIN to the Movies Share/Folder but the same thing happens if I apply a PIN to the Kids Movies folder.
If no PIN's are configured the Videos DB views show all content. If a PIN is configured I get the behaviour described in previous posts.
Both folders contain various movie content types but most are DVD Folder rips and ISO's. All movies are located within a sub folder under the root share (\\WHSERVER\Movies\"MovieName" or \\WHSERVER\Kids Movies\"MovieName"). Examples as follows
\\WHSERVER\Movies\Avatar\Avatar.iso
\\WHSERVER\Movies\Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End\VIDEO_TS
\\WHSERVER\Kids Movies\Bolt - 2008
Obviously, under the Video_TS folders there are the various vobs, ifos and bups associated with a DVD folder rip.
Is the fact that I'm using two root shares rather than one a problem? If so I'm sorry if I misunderstood.
try last patch, it should work for you. I found the cause in virtualdirectory code, it behaves differently with remote server and shared folder on local machine (as I tested but with UNC path to simulate your case) and it produce different directory lvl string.
